Possible fossil and fossil,Artifact or natural rock formation
MoRockHunter posted a topic in Fossil ID
Both found in southwest missouri, the larger rock for some reason makes me think of a tooth so I wonder if it could be a piece of a tooth from some huge type of extinct animal but I don't know maybe it's just a rock? The smaller rock made me think ARTIFACT and man made but because the smaller indentions are smooth but the center circular spot is more rough like broken off from something.....actually after just looking it over again I'm pretty sure it's an artifact but I don't know what it was? Or what it was used for? Any help identifying these 2 objects would be greatly apprreciated -
Hey guys! Are these markings from slugs and worms? This rock was found in alabama near a lake . Thank you.

Among other stuff (not many shark teeth) found a few puzzling pieces. Picked up what I though was a piece of turtle shell, but now think it might be a broken geode with black crystals? The second could also be a rock, it is solid too, but has roughly parallel columns, a few trucated, a few lost. Any ideas? (sorry for the scanner photos, not as flat as small teeth)

Hello all, I am still working on this very large project in the Lower Glen Rose Formation near Spring Branch, Texas. Are these marine fossils? Or are they minerals?

I will be in Vernal Utah in July and I have a free day. Are there any fossil sites open to the public? Or specific museums/sights to see? I know Dinosaur national monument is very close. Any replies or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Found several curved pieces of compressed sandy looking material with a tube-like polished round opening. Several have a black shark tooth-like enamel on only part of the tube and some pieces have the same glossy sheen on the outside. One had a weird pattern below the sheen (second pic). They are all one to two inch pieces. Are these some type of worm casing? Any ideas?
