Hello, I have been browsing these forums for a few years and recently decided that it was probably time that I become officially active on here. While I'd prefer to stay anonymous for the time being, I will say that I am a business owner that deals in minerals and fossils and have a showroom in the USA. My focus in the past has been more on minerals, although in the more recent years I have become increasingly passionate about the fossil side of the business. A few of my current favorite specimens include a nearly 5-ft Prognathodon skull, large Spinosaurus hand w/ claws, and woolly rhino skull with a real 3-ft horn. I look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge of fossils and connecting with more fossil dealers and enthusiasts!

Hey! Is there a winners gallery for FotY? If there is, is there any way to sticky it to the top?

So, I just finished my first gallery wall. I really like old science art; eventually it will cover all the walls of my office. I got the images as hires digital files, and printed them on Shutterfly. So, from the top clockwise they are: Giant sloth skull, life size; PM if you want me to e-mail you the digital image. Moa skeleton: PM me if you want the image. Poster for fake sea serpent skull made from fossil whale bones; this one came out amazing, I had to buy an odd size frame for it. PM for the file. Madagascar ammonite Keichosaurus fossil Fossil wolf skull image (pm me for image) Fossil crocodile skull from American Museum of Natural history (can't send out this one, sorry)

...can both promote and improve the science of paleontolgy!!! How? Label your images with the information you have. If you know your specimen is a Cretaceous clam...label it as such. Some of you may know the species name of your specimen, as well as formation it came from...I encourage you to do the same. Let's say, I am new to fossickin' and I find a pretty cool clam in a Cretaceous outcrop. I want to learn about this clam, so I do an internet search for "fossil clams + Cretaceous"...you, yourself, have a Cretaceous clam that is similar but your specimen is labeled "IMG 0012258"...I won't see it and nothing is gained. Your image could be vital to research, and yet...lost on the interwebs. Here are some more great ideas on how to create a gallery of your fossils. I, for one, look forward to learning from you. -P.
