Hi folks! I’m kind of stuck on this one. I presume this is a gastropod and not a cephalopod because of its small size (diameter around 2 cm). But what order, family, genus and species? Its found at Mt Billingen in Sweden, in a layer from middle Ordovician (middle to upper Darriwilian).

I was wondering whether this belongs to a Eurypterid. The only recorded genus of Eurypterids at the locality is Truncatiramus. Formation: Bloomsburg-Williamsport Formation. Age: Silurian. Other recorded fossils: Tentaculites sp., Klodenella sp., and Stromatapora sp. Second photo:

From the album: Chondrichthyan Teeth From The Pennsylvanian Period
While there is no exact identification I assume this tooth to belong to the genus Orodus but it is highly likely that it belongs to some sort of Eugeneodontiform rather than being from Orodus but so far I have no exact identification. I also have another tooth in this collection that is similar in size. -
I see that the genus Sigilmassasaurus have been deleted from many paleontology lists about the Kem Kem group fauna. Is Sigilmassasaurus a species of the genus Spinosaurus? Sigilmassasaurus and Spinosaurus aegyptiacus is the same species?

I would like to make a entry to the collections data base and have been working on the different tags. I’m having trouble with genus and species. My geology maps say Silurian, I have narrowed it down to the Ludlum period, and believe extinction may have occurred during the Mulde event (an anoxic event) First time attempting to do this, any help at all will be appreciated.

What species of Tyrannosaur did this tooth replica come from?
dinosaur man posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi I found this with the rest of my fossil replicas and was wondering if it could be a Rex tooth or another type of Tyrannosaur tooth. I don’t know if I can post this here or get an ID on it since it’s a replica but I got it at the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Canada it’s a replica of one of there specimens. And I just wanted to know what it could be since it seemed strange to me on how skinny and long it is, Thank you!! -

I'm currently trying to identify the genus of some of my ammonite fossils? I believe the two small specimens are Hildoceras and Gonaitite and the large specimen is of the genus Cleoniceras. But I do not know for sure. Can someone confirm or correct me on this?

I found this one next to a bunch of turritellas. It looks like a scallops design. In Washington state. I took a picture next to a quarter but it didn't show up. Its around 3 inches across and 3 1/2 inches vertically.

I bought this ammonite many years ago, and I only know it is from Madagascar. I don't know anything else about the particular location within Madagascar or any layer it was found in, etc. So I realize it may not be possible to tell what type it is, but it would be fun to know, if possible. Hmmmm...the program won't let me upload for some reason...the images are 12 MB, 13 and 14. Does that mean I'll have to adjust them to a smaller size file in order to upload? I was trying to have good detail for identification.
