    What genus is this Ammonite?

So i found this Ammonite in one of my trips to a late jurassic/early cretaceous marine formation. I posted this same specimen but without preparation and they tell me that is impossible to know without the center area or the inner whorls. Now I prepped this Ammonite and the ribs on the inner whorls are visible. If anybody can tell about the genus or species of this Ammonite i'll be very greatful. Thanks!

    Naming nomenclature

Hi all, A bit of a newbie so apologies if this is a dumb question but was hoping for the naming nomenclature a bit more. I understand that sp. means species (used when the species is unknow, but the genus isn't) and indet. means indetermined. But what does cf. mean? classification? I've seen it used before the genus and also after followed by a person's name. For example, I read on this forum a tooth found in the Bull creek canyon formation belonging to cf Coelophysis. Aswell as ready of a Apachesaurus cf. A gregorii. Are there any other terms that are frequently used?
  3. Hi folks! I’m kind of stuck on this one. I presume this is a gastropod and not a cephalopod because of its small size (diameter around 2 cm). But what order, family, genus and species? Its found at Mt Billingen in Sweden, in a layer from middle Ordovician (middle to upper Darriwilian).

    Truncatiramus Eurypterid WV?

I was wondering whether this belongs to a Eurypterid. The only recorded genus of Eurypterids at the locality is Truncatiramus. Formation: Bloomsburg-Williamsport Formation. Age: Silurian. Other recorded fossils: Tentaculites sp., Klodenella sp., and Stromatapora sp. Second photo:

    Possibly Orodus sp Tooth

From the album: Chondrichthyan Teeth From The Pennsylvanian Period

While there is no exact identification I assume this tooth to belong to the genus Orodus but it is highly likely that it belongs to some sort of Eugeneodontiform rather than being from Orodus but so far I have no exact identification. I also have another tooth in this collection that is similar in size.

    Nautiloid

I would like to make a entry to the collections data base and have been working on the different tags. I’m having trouble with genus and species. My geology maps say Silurian, I have narrowed it down to the Ludlum period, and believe extinction may have occurred during the Mulde event (an anoxic event) First time attempting to do this, any help at all will be appreciated.
  8. Hi I found this with the rest of my fossil replicas and was wondering if it could be a Rex tooth or another type of Tyrannosaur tooth. I don’t know if I can post this here or get an ID on it since it’s a replica but I got it at the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Canada it’s a replica of one of there specimens. And I just wanted to know what it could be since it seemed strange to me on how skinny and long it is, Thank you!!

    What Are These Ammonites?

I'm currently trying to identify the genus of some of my ammonite fossils? I believe the two small specimens are Hildoceras and Gonaitite and the large specimen is of the genus Cleoniceras. But I do not know for sure. Can someone confirm or correct me on this?

    Genus of this shell?

I found this one next to a bunch of turritellas. It looks like a scallops design. In Washington state. I took a picture next to a quarter but it didn't show up. Its around 3 inches across and 3 1/2 inches vertically.
