I found two partial (and of course cracked) ammonite casts last week off Boat Club Rd. They'll look good in the rock garden. I normally don't collect these much anymore since they are ubiquitous here in western Tarrant County. They are common in the upper 20 feet or so of the "Goodland Limestone Formation".

A few weeks ago my mother, Stella (dog), and I went to a old-reliable heteromorph site in the Atco. After I dragged all my equipment to the part of the site that I was going to work, she went walking with Stella to look at some of the check-dams full of brought in Edwards limestone, chicken wire bags full of the brought in matrix put in the ditches for sediment control. In 2017 while we were at the same Atco site she was looking at a dumped pile of the Edwards and found a rare cidarid (see thread here) that compares well with Temnocidaris (Stereocidaris) hudspethensis. The sight of seeing that

I have three groups of fossils from Texas to trade. I am mainly interested in trilobites, Megalodon teeth, and Ammonites but I will accept other fossils. The first group is from Lake Texoma. It includes an unprepared ammonite, a idiohamites ammonite, a partial ammonite, echinoids, clams and an unprepared echinoid.

So, here's my first fossil prep job. I kinda broke a rule of prep... I used acetic acid (CAREFULLY) on an echinoid. It worked out pretty well. Here are before & after pics. Kinda washed out from the flash, but it can't be helped. Scale in photos is a cm ruler.
