This dinosaur footprint is real or a fake?
Nicopaleoadventures posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi guys, on a website I found this dinosaur footprint for sale. It was discovered in Germany. In your opinion is it real o fake? Thanks a lot! -
Looks like two partials (both broken across the heels) or one partial that goes all the way through the thin matrix. I asked for a edge photo to show layer compression but the seller struggles to get it in focus and may not be on the correct edge. Per seller: From the Jurassic Boonton Formation in Northern New Jersey.

Hello, the other day I found this on a hiking trail in Wissahickon park in Philadelphia, pa. it looks like a footprint, but the age of the Wissahickon formation is Paleozoic, not Mesozoic. The rock is roughly brick shaped, and there are stone structures/ ruins around the park. It may be a possibility that an old structure was built with Triassic rock, which can be found a short drive west. I am having trouble identifying the type of rock. Is this a Grallator track, or a Grallator shaped coincidence? thanks!
