Found this, what looks like a shell in granite. Riverbed in Wallonia, south of Belgium. River, the Ourthe (or Semois). Any chance this could be named or roughly dated?

This is my first thread, but hopefully not my last. I have always loved picking up unique rocks ever since childhood, but only occasionally finding an obvious fossil. As an adult, I purchased my first home in southern Michigan, which I believe sits atop a moraine. This "moraine" is a 5 acre pile of sand, rocks, and boulders which rises about 40 feet higher than the surrounding fields. A few weeks ago, I found the pictured stone poking out of one of the slopes. I am fascinated by it, and am curious what it could be. The stone is triangular, approximately 20" long and 10" thick. The greenish layer visible is only a couple inches thick, with the remainder resembling a red granite. Aside from the organic feel, I am particularly fascinated by the 5" leaf shape on top with the "Z" inside of it. I just can't picture this being the result of rock formation/erosion. Thanks for any help!

I have a piece of common pink granite I found along a rail road bed. while taking pictures of the pyrite in it through my microscope I found a single yellow dot with an inner dark circle like a target. I would like to know what it is. I do not remember if I cleaned it in my ultra sonic. note that the first two were taken with my Nikon 775 digital and the dark circle is a Panasonic I just got. Hi. I found this on the Holderness Coast, UK. I found many of these but I decided to keep one as I didn't have one in my collection. Is it granite? Thanks, Daniel

I thought these were interesting. Though not fossils they seem to be some form of metamorphic quartzite granite. I recently went through the Virginia Beach museum were an info panel said rocks from the Appalachians had shifted towards the bay over time, and helped to compose the glassy quartz based sand kernels. These rocks are evidence of their origin. -

Hey guys, found this in a gravel bed in central Iowa and am having trouble identifying it. I had originally thought it might be a native American artifact but the members at Arrowheadology disproved that and sent me here. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
