    Guides for amphibians ?

Hello, i wanted to ask If there are any guides for amphibians (from the rotliegend) on the Forum ? If not, i want to try to make one. What do you think about my Idea?
  2. I am heading to Pagosa Springs Colorado next week and would love to do some fossiling. I have a few sites to check out but I was wondering if there were any day trip fossil hunt guides that were in the South Colorado area. I haven't been able to find any on web search, so if you know anyone who leads half day or day trips, please PM me! Thanks!!
  3. Hey folks! I'm mostly of a crystals/minerals guy but I've found my fair share plant and bivalve fossils and a number of decent 2-3" teeth at a now inaccessible spot in SC. I've got a dear, rockhounding noob friend who's heard tell of the joys of fossil hunting and very interested in experiencing a single trip down to the coast -particularly for larger shark tooth hunting. Me and another buddy would really like to treat him to either a coastal island or inland creek day trip charter for his 50th, but since it's only a one-time thing for him I'd like to maximize his chances of finding larger stuff. Though there's one amateur diver among us, none of us is equipped for anything like blackwater diving. We're all adventurous, fit, and open. Looking for something bigger than the grays, lemons, hemipristis that you can find around Folly Beach and such and willing t pay $$ for it. Anyone have a rec for the best person or company to chat with to make this happen? I've looked at all the usual suspects around Charleston area, but have never hired anyone for anything like this. Feel free to DM me if you know of anyone who could do something private for a one-time fee as well. Cheers!
  4. I volunteer at a natural history society. i was asked to do a zoom talk for a general audience on identifying fossil shark teeth. As I looked at a few online shark tooth identification Guides, what struck me was the number of scientific words or descriptive terms that a person would need to understand to use a Guide. It would be discouraging to have to stop and look up each term. So I tried to find a site where all the words or terms were explained with words and pictures that would be clear. I did not find one. Can any of you point me to one? I had never tried on my own to id shark teeth. I relied on others. So I approached this as a newbee. I put together a power point program showing pictures (53) of shark teeth crown and root features, pictures showing the labial and lingual sides, serrations, cusps, cutting edge directions-mesial & distal and changes in teeth based on their tooth position. For fun, pictures of pathological teeth are shown. All comments, suggestions would be appreciated. thanks for reading

Have to thank @PFOOLEY for suggesting this consolidation and it makes it a lot easier for me to access these topics as well as our members to know what's out there.
