I found this oddity while walking along Bandera Beach in Costa Rica. The beach is visited by sea turtle, crocodiles, sting rays, humpback whales and other fishes and sharks. The beach is on the Pacific Ocean relatively close to the equator. It is shaped like a shark tooth but I doubt that it is due to the porous nature and large size. The shape doesn’t remind me of coral, but it could be. It seems to me like a bone. There is a small protuberance that soft tissue could attach to. I was thinking turtle or crocodile but I reviewed images of their skeletons and didn’t see a match. Any ideas?

Crossing the Guadalupe River ( a Texas State Park) today when one of my dogs picked this bone up out of tree ramble/debris in the water. I thought it was very interesting, so I snapped a video and set it down on a boulder. I had plan to pick it up on my way back out. But I forgot all about it and took a different route back to my car. I am home now, going through my pictures and ran across the video. As you may imagine I’m really worried it might be a human bone, . Can y’all help me out with what you believe the bone to be. Human or animal. for reference I am 5’5”

Hiya everyone I Recently bought this starfish fossil (it hasn’t arrived yet) any help with an id would be great I’m assuming it’s from the English coast as the seller selling it was getting rid of a collection of all British fossils. cheers

Found this on the pacific coast of Costa Rica, I know it’s not rare to find teeth on the beaches here however this has been weathered down so it’s smooth. Me and my friend are in a debate about what it is so any opinions or validations would be appreciated. I personally think a very old meg tooth

Long story short my grandmother use to order fossils from a website. She would keep some of the authentication certificates because I was so young at the time of receiving these. When she had passed I learned she lost almost all of the paperwork. I've been struggling to identify these with such little information to go off of. Any help is greatly appreciated. First image to last: - Small roughly 1'' tooth - Was thought to be plesiosaur tooth but it looks slightly different then the confirmed plesiosaur tooth I own - unknown -wrist or ankle of some sort, mammoth or mastodon -unknown

I found this on a beach in the Isle of Wight. Not sure if it’s a pattern on the rock or a fossil. The shape is much darker than appears on the photos but I’ve done my best. Thank you!

I received yesterday, a pair of brachiopods of this species, from a Chinese seller, I asked for information, and this is the only thing they sent me. I would appreciate if any member could translate the text, or tag to another member who can translate it. Thanks. It is not necessary to translate everything... just name, age and origin.

I was dipping my fossils in acetone and B76 in order to stabilize them for long term storage but my clear gloves started to disintegrate into the acetone and the fossils soaked it up. I didn't notice any color change until they dried and where coated in white. It only affected some of the last ones I dipped but they are also the ones I want to id. it's possible the dye came from something else as when I started using different plastic gloves it really coated them white. Can the color be removed? The structure can still be seen in the fish verts but suppose to be gray color. Im testing one by soaking in Acetone to see if it comes out.
