Found this thing many years ago in Iowa in a rock pit and still have no idea what it is.... Anyone know?? Its about 4cm in diameter and 5cm tall Front Top Side Front Back Bottom

Found this guy in a creek in Cincinnati Ohio. Not sure what to think of it, we have a plethora of Ordovician fossils in our area, maybe it’s one of them. Kind of resembles a section of vertebrae to me but I can’t tell for sure. Would appreciate any help. Sample is roughly 3 inches long by 1.75 inches wide.

When I was preparing this fossil I didn’t 100% know what it was but now am even more confused. The vertebrae’s do not match up with the fossil and the body seems pretty weird to. So if anyone could help me with this fish that would be awesome. And no it’s not a fake a prepared it myself.

I found this object in Corolla NC this past summer. It washed up after a strong hurricane. Any one know what this is?

I found this near the 476 turnpike where they tore up all the ground and exposed the New Brunswick Formation. This formation is triassic. I went to a dump site where the construction company took all the rock. Is this possibly some sort of trace fossil from a lizard or sphenodontid? (If you neer to see it better flip your phone or device upside down)

I found this black rock. I’ve compared it to other rocks and it’s either double or triple the weight of this one. This weighs 42.2 grams, was thinking it could possibly be a meteorite. I’ve put a magnet up to it and there is no magnetic attraction so i have no idea what it could be.

I found this fossil it kind of looks like a curled up tail of a crayfish but I’m uncertain.

Hi everyone. I found this at high tide washed up on a beach in west mersea island, Essex recently. I know that this area and up towards Walton on the Naze is London clay and forms part of the red crag formation which dates back to the Pliocene period. The tide was pushing in from East to West at the time. I’m uncertain as to what animal (presuming herbivore) it is or if the tooth is complete. could anyone identify this for me please and if so is this a fossil from around Pliocene era or just part of a fresh carcass that’s ended up in the sea. There is no agricultural grazing within the area in which any livestock could have wandered off and ended up getting onto the beach and drowning. I can only upload two photos due to data size so will try to add the rest via linked threads (any other suggestions on how to upload all 6 pics at once would be appreciated) thank you for any help you can give.

Here is another item I found in north myrtle beach! I'm not sure what it could be....I already have sea robin skull plates, and it doesnt look like that, but maybe it is something similar? Any help is appreciated! Posted are the top, then the bottom of the object

Hello forum, Recently I went to Walton on the Naze and I found a nodule on the beach that contained many fossil, some quite remarkable containing a shark tooth, scales, bones, fossilized wood and many more things to excavated. At first I was not going to pick it up ,as it was heavy (20lb to be exact). But I was upset to find out that I walked past a large megalodon tooth that someone else picked up. So here I am and now have this lump of rock, I have soak it for some time, to hopefully stop or slowdown pyritization. Now in the next few days I will be starting my prepping journey. Will anyone be able to give me advice, as I'm only using Dremel's, I wont be able to afford any thing else as it will not be in my budget. Opinion WANT TO REMOVE THE FOSSIL WOOD! THE SHELL ARE CHALKY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO TO STOP THIS FROM FALLING APART? AND PREVENTING PYRITIZATION WITH NAIL POLISH OR CLEAR VARNISH ? Here are some pictures out of many.

So I found this tooth sifting through all the little extras from my fossil trip to Florida, it doesn’t look like any of the other common bull sharks, lemons etc. I think it is a baby megalodon but I’m not sure, it is serrated but a little worn, it’s much wider and not as narrow/pointy as a typical bull. Thoughts?

The grey tooth on the right is a small posterior megalodon tooth found in the peace river Florida. The copper tooth was found in a very shallow creek part of big brook NJ. Is it possible that a meg could have swam farther north like modern great whites do during a split time when the water level overlapped the big brook area and dropped it? I’m still new at identifying teeth but they seem VERY very similar

Is it possible to narrow down what type of mosasaur a tooth came from? Found a tooth but it looks different from the typical ones I see all over google. Thanks!
