Hello all. I've been off and on this site for a few months and finally got around to posting so I figured that I may as well do the introduction. I am a college student from New Jersey studying environmental science and geology. I have been volunteering at the Edelman Fossil Park (formerly Inversand) for several years, so most of my experience is related to the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey, although not entirely exclusive. I look forward to seeing what everyone shares on the forum!

Made a fairly brief visit to a site in Ocean County, near New Egypt, NJ. on Monday 4/6/15. There was a shell bed exposed in a very muddy narrow ravine composed of the Paleocene brachiopod; Oleneothyris harlani. Collected a number of small specimens. They are extremely fragile and usually crumble when exposed. Will return some time to collect, hopefully better specimens.
