I was agate hunting in Crescent City, CA, at Pebble Beach. I found this tooth. I've been an avid "fossiler" for decades. My usual places are Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and the Peace River in Florida. I've found numerous types of teeth, Glyptodont scutes, etc. This is my first find in CA. I can't identify the tooth. Seal? Dolphin? Human? I am curious if the root has been agatized to some degree. Any help in identifying what animal this tooth came from is greatly appreciated.

We found this bone while on a walk on the beach next to our home. We recently had a series of storms that surged through the seawall and tore it apart, as well as sent a lot of things downstream. This was just to the right of a rumor river mouth run off on the beach can you help me figure out what it is? There are tons of fossils in the area in the cliffs at her usually shells and small sea animals but I have never seen anything resembling something coming from a mammal before especially the size. I'm also curious how old it may be because it's fossilized.

Hello! i recently found a small, broken mammal molar. The occlusal surface is worn flat partially, this maybe difficult to see from the photos, it seems small to be an older pig, but pig was my first guess. If that is correct I guess it would most likely not be a “fossil”, although it seems to have some qualities consistent with mineralization. Is it conceivably human, about the same size and in better shape than some of mine! Very curious find for me and probably obvious for some members. thanks for your time!
