Last week took me back to my home state of Ohio in order to attend a conference. On the way home, I stopped at the Paulding Fossil Gardens to play in the Silica Shale for awhile before returning to the white landscape of Minnesota. There are a few unknowns that I ran across and am hoping for a little help! @Peat Burns These tiny squiggles are on top of a bryozoan covered brachiopod. The pores of the bryozoan can be seen. IDed as Microconchids. I thought this was a bryozoan until I looked at the enlarged picture. Now I feel it is crinoidal, but what? I have searched high and low for a bivalve in the Silica Shale that matches this. These tiny brachiopods remind me of an atrypa but are very small and fairly smooth. IDed as Athyris sp. Bryozoans are so common at Paulding and I assumed this was a brachiopod covered with one. But looking at the exposed edge, I do not see any evidence of a shell. So does the silica shale have anything that mimics Prasapora of the Ordovician? IDed as Fistuliporoid bryozoan. N Finally, no guess on this one! Well maybe a trilobite roller but that is a long shot!! IDed as Rugosa Coral.

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and fossils in general and was hoping to get an ID on two fossil teeth that were labeled as “raptor” teeth. I’m still learning some terminology, so forgive me if I mislabel something. Thank you in advance! both are said to be from the Kem Kem Beds in Morocco, although the darker brown one has a specific location in Taouz, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco. Distal edge above.mesial edge above. distal edge above.mesial edge above.

Help!? This looks like it's a carved figure. It was found in southern California in a very old area known to contain mammoth and ancient American Indian and mezo American finds. Last photos show area where it was dug and the site shows unnatural looking rock outlays. Could it be a Dino!!! Thanks for any insight on this find. I am completely new And hooked regardless.

Here are a couple pieces that I want to post to see what others think @RCFossils @Mark Kmiecik @stats @deutscheben @connorp This first piece, I think might be a G. Greenei. This next piece may be a “blade”, Esconichthys apopyris. And lastly, 2 worms.

@RCFossils @Mark Kmiecik @connorp @deutscheben @stats Looking for thoughts on these few pieces- It looks a bit like the barnacle Illilepas damrowi Thinking possible Reticulomedusa greenei This next one is odd looking and the only thing that I can think of is an Octomedusa pieckorum. Lastly, looking for something on this bivalve.
