Hi everyone, I have here a 1" tooth identified as a Megalodon from West Java, Indonesia, allegedly a new creek locality. I know that smaller Megs may not necessarily have bourlettes, but there do not appear to be serrations. This could probably be explained by river wear. In any case, might this be a Meg, or could it be something else? Best, Bellamy

A few pics taken off a video. Indonesian, so I’m super skeptical - but am curious what this would be if it was real. One of the pics looks almost clay. Thoughts?

Short faced bear or something else?
Hayley posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Can someone please help me with an ID on this? I was almost positive it’s a short faced bear, but the person who found it thinks tiger. It was found in Indonesia. It weighs 5 kilos. -
I posted a similar “horn” recently that didn’t get much resolution. Here’s another one with a few more pics. Indonesia (supposedly), found alongside megs in some type of wash pile/hill (supposedly). thoughts? thanks in advanced for any insight. It’s a weird one. I’ve seen a couple, but only a couple, pictures online of Miocene type rhino horns that are somewhat similar - but nothing exact.

A guy I know has this: doesn’t know what it is. He’s in Indonesia and digs behind his village where he found this recently. I don’t have any info besides that. Rhino? Buffalo? I’m thinking buffalo. I’ll try and get more angles because I’m curious on the age. Thoughts?

Hello! My name is Raihan & I’m from Indonesia. I’m kinda new at this shark teeth collecting, I have several teeth & unfortunately I’m a little bit confused about their id. Can anyone tell me about what kind of shark teeth are these? All of them were found in Madura island, Indonesia. Here are the questions. 1) Are these upper & lower teeth from a bull shark? Or it could be from another Carcharhinus sp.? 2) Are these lemons? And if it so, is it N.acutidens? 3) Does anyone know the exact species on these fossilized lemon shark teeth? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I've been looking for a Megalodon from one of the more exotic localities in Asia. The problem is, most of the dealers I know stick to those originating from the United States. I've found some on various auction sites, but I don't wish to get into that because I'm not very experienced in spotting fakes and reconstructions. I would be more interested in someone who you've had fruitful dealings with. If anyone could PM me suggestions for dealers to contact regarding teeth from these localities, I would appreciate it. Thank you, Shayan

Hi Fossil Forum, I'm an amateur collector with a particular interest in petrified wood. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this ring growth detail from a large early Miocene era petrified tree from outside Sukabumi in Indonesia. This particular image is from the top of partial trunk attached to a larger tree. Does anyone know the particular age of this tree (or side trunk) when it was petrified? Can you also identify seasons? I'd love to learn more about petrified tree ring growth. Best, Nick

Got it from a friend. This actually should come in one piece and not separated like this. Probably someone split it up so that he/she could see the inside. Probably found in Papua, Indonesia. Please your ID. Thankyou.

I bought these (in Solo Indonesia), what the seller told me, to be fossils of an elephant. Now I am wondering if this is fake or real? They are heavy, sound solid, more or less kinda stone. What do you think ?

From the album: MY FOSSIL Collection - Dpaul7
Agatized Fossil Tabulate Coral (Polished) Indonesia Miocene age (approx 20 million year old) Data: This interesting natural color stone was formed from ancient coral beds in Indonesia. Over the course of a very long time - perhaps 20 Million Years - the coral skeletal remains were gradually replaced with agate, chalcedony, or microcrystalline quartz, in a cell by cell replacement process that leaves flower-like patterns from the fossil skeletons imprinted three dimensionally in the stone. Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Cnidaria Class: Anthozoa Subclass: Hexacorallia Order: Tabulata-
