Goodday Im considering this nice Indonesian Megalodon Tooth, as I got a few in my collection, im looking for one with an authentic root. Sometimes you see these and spot something off immediately , with the color or shape or the root. This one looks quite good. The sellers says its 100% authentic, with only one small fill in the blade blackside. Any shark experts opinions about it? file.mp4

Finally broke down and got a few nice Indonesian megs. This is the nicest one, it's blue and 5 3/8" long. Fits in nicely with my small collection of larger megs.

Is it real? Indonesian Crab Fossil
Wei Yang Low posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Dear all, would like to know if the following crab fossil is genuine before I purchase it. Have appended 2 videos in this post. I’m aware there are quite a few fake carvings marketed as genuine fossils, but I’m not sure if this specimen is a real fossil or a carving, as it appears legitimate due to the intact matrix. Would like to know what the experts think. Thanks very much! IMG_7149.MP4 IMG_7148.MP4- 13 replies

My experience with Indonesian megalodon teeth
FLfossils posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I thought I’d share my recent experience with Indonesian megalodon teeth. I couldn’t find much information on them or many who had bought them, so hopefully this post will help the next person. I initially ordered the tooth through a seller from Indonesia on Instagram using PayPal. The pictures where a little grainy but the price seemed too good to pass up. After a month of waiting it did actually show up:- 13 replies

Found this in some Indonesian amber (Early Miocene age). Not sure if its a bug molt, dead bug before the resin landed on it, or a leaf. Tiny little thing, measuring 3 mm long x 1.5 mm wide. 1 pic at 55 x showing main item & what looks like a leg, 2nd pic at 100 x showing main item itself. I couldn't get better pics unfortunately as I'm working the amber by hand, so the other end is thick. The entire piece is only 4 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm x 12 mm in size (rectangular & kinda hard to hold). Any ideas?

I found these worm like things in a piece of Indonesian amber. The thicker of the two is about 2 mm across & the thin one is just over 3 mm across (coiled length). These are the best pics I could get unfortunately. Both are barely viewable from the other side due to the dark patch. Pics are @ 75x The first 2 are with just the Dino Lite LEDs, the 3rd is that with an additional light source from below. I don't figure I'll get a positive ID, or even anything close, but I brought em to you anyway. The 3rd pic shows the thin one much better in my opinion. Thanks for taking a look.
