Hey everyone, I am looking for any reccomended websites or databases that can help me identify several invertebrate specimens in my collection. Specimens range from ammonites, echinoderms, brachiopods, molluscs etc. I have locations where most were found or acquired, but I would like to get a species ID on them at least. Morphology tends to blur at times depending on the sample. Any references or ideas?

Hi! I'm mostly here just because I'm interested in fossils haha, but I was wondering what this fossil might be? It's approx. 3-4 cm (pretty small!), and I also found it on the beach in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic). This is more for curiosities sake, and just because I find them cool.

What the heck? At first I thought this was maybe a cephalopod cross-section, but now I only have guesses. It's about 20mm in diameter. Found in a Skaneatles FM (Middle Devonain) outcrop in Madison County, NY

Made a trip to Fort Gibson dam 4 days ago and saw these invertebrate fossils that looked to me like "spikey worms". The ones in the photos are in rock and measure about 2 to 3 cm or more. The road cuts are of Mississippian age on either side of the dam. Also found a blastoid here. What are the spikey worm fossils?

I don't know whether I should have put this in the ID section instead, as I'm looking for some info and for help in sorting out what I've got, but not necessarily IDs per se. But it's also a sort of show-and-tell, so here goes. The info I'm trying to sort out has to do with the locations and formation/stages of some of the items. To help, I'll post the Ordovician correlation chart from the ICS and this other one from a paper on the Valongo (Portugal) site recently posted in the Documents section, showing the known soft-bodied sites of the Ordovician... The latter seems a little too tidy, with the deposits fitting exactly within the given stages, but maybe it will be of some help:
