Welcome to my first Fossil ID Post! I bought this fossil at a Market in Johannesburg. The seller claims it to be a juvenile Mosasaur. The sediment layer seems to be derived from seabed but I am no expert. Seller claims to have retrieved the specimen from Morocco. Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Reptilia Order: Squamata Clade: Platynota

Hi all, I got those ammonites from @cheney416 in a blind trade. They come from Morocco, but the exact location is unknown. Apparently they are from the Bajocian stage of the Jurassic; 170 mya), but I can't find any Jurassic locations in Morocco containing ammonites... Does anyone know what species these are, and what location they could come from? Thanks, Max

Scotland has a lot to offer including good Scotch but when it comes to dinosaurs it's close to the bottom of that scotch barrel. The attached article reviews the meager and extremely rare middle Jurassic remains that exist. The Isle of Skye is the only place that have produced these remains. http://www.mdpi.com/2076-3263/8/2/53/htm

Hello all Around April, May I'm going to the UK for a couple of days with my parents. They will visit some villages, while I'll be fossil hunting on the beach. I've done some research on the internet and thefossilforum, but sometimes the messages I get are contradictory. So I have some questions. -Is it allowed to search fossils in Lyme Regis and Charmouth with a hamer? I know you can't hack in the cliffs. -Is April and May a good period to search for fossils? -I have some serious problems with my eyes and it's very difficult for me to find loose fossils lying on the beach. Are there nice finds in the rocks? I can see those a whole lot better. -If you find an ichthyosaur or a big ammonite (I don't expect to find any) are you allowed to take them with you home? -Does anyone of you know if a good place to stay in Lyme Regis or Charmouth? I found a lot of places and now I don't know which one I have to choose. Our dog is going with us. -Any more tips? Thanks already Greetings Thijs

Here is my Jurassic collection from the Morrison formation. This is a collection I really want to expand so if anyone has any fossils from the Morrison they'd be willing to trade definitely message me. the latest addition to my Morrison formation collection is the large partial Allosaurus vert my parents got me for Christmas. The fossil in the bottom right of the first pic is a chunk of bone, probably Camarasaurus. The fossil in the top right of the first pic is a chunk of bone, probably theropod. Pics 2,3,4= Partial Allosaurus fragilis vertebra, Hanksville Utah Pics 5,6= Allosaurus fragilis vertebra, Wyoming Pics 7,8,9= Allosaurus fragilis tooth, Hanksville Utah
