  1. This is normally not the type of thing I'd consider as it's not up the same alley of things I normally collect (dinosaur) but I came across it on a not so known site so I'm curious if it's real as I just don't have an eye for these. Color is relatively uniform which is throwing me off quite a bit as normally these are painted from what I've seen here.
  2. I bought this Keichousaur fossil online recently, before discovering this forum and finding out that fake fossils are common, and Keichousaur are commonly faked or embellished. I did have concerns that this may have been fake, though I think I've managed to work that out myself now thanks to a handily available xray machine. Still, confirmation would be nice and I thought this may be of interest. It is claimed to have come from Fuyuan County, Pengjiang, Yunnan, China

    Fossil repair

Hello all! First, let me say I am a relatively new fossil collector and new to this forum. I am a biologist and typically study living things, so please don't throw me out! I recently purchased a Keichousaurus hui from another collector but when it arrived the specimen was damaged. It appears to have broken along 2 previously repaired cracks in the matrix. I would like to repair this specimen or perhaps more ideally, have it repaired by someone experienced. Can anyone point me toward a suitable resource for proper guidance, or an experienced collector or professional who can repair this specimen? Any assistance you can offer will be much appreciated!
  8. Has anyone ever seen a Keichousaurus that died giving birth (or died and went into labor)?
  9. Hi all! I'm curious if this fossil I'm thinking of getting is real or fake!
  10. hello, I would be interested to know if this exhibit is real or fake. I look forward to feedback :) Greetings Simon
