Found 20+ intact spheres of various sizes, only broke open 2 with a 3lb sledge, the smaller one was empty, however the larger on had a 6 cm solid muddy form inside. That has since broke apart.

From the album: Sharks
A gorgeous tooth from one of my favorite sharks! The enamel isn't polished - the chalk preserves its shine extremely well - it's as shiny as when it fell out of the animal's mouth!-

From the album: Sharks
A beautiful tooth from one of my favorite sharks. This one is extra special because of the self-inflicted bite mark - a gash seen on the left in lingual view. Apparently their bite was strong enough to cut their own teeth!-

I found this "thing" today while fishing at a farm pond. It was in a crumbling concretion full of clams, which are common in the area. It looks like a large piece of bone, or drift wood that became fossilized. The close-ups show the texture of the surface. Fossilized wood is not un-heard of in this area, but I'm very unfamiliar with the structure of some wood types. The internal structure looks bone like to me, but I think the surface texture looks plant like. Ramo
