We were picking up sea glass in front of our house, and this stood out as being different that most of the fossils we find. This has the look of a tooth - reminds me a bit of the teeth we’ve found in Florida. Is this simply a rock that has the look of a tooth, or is it actually a fossilized tooth?

Hello everyone. I'm new, and thought I would ask folks far more learned than I what exactly my daughter found near Lake Huron today? We found a great deal of fossils, (corals, I think, and crinoids) but this one has me stumped.

Good Morning, I am hoping someone could maybe give me a little information on what I may have found. This was found on the shores of Lake Huron in Ontario. I found it as I was walking along the shores. It looks to be a fish head or an eel head maybe. There is a whole in top, and around the neck looks to be roughly cut or torn and a lighter grey material inside what appears to be the head cavity. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Chad Schofield

Our grandkids first found this by the lake, Lake Huron. Ontario, canada side. We have been told our lot had a horse trail that ran through it, possible even used for horse races. Interested if this is an ancient horse tooth? Bison is another possibility as this had been a wooded area near the lake. Thank you. We are always looking for interesting rocks and stones and were curious when we found these. I have more photos.

Hello - new here! My 5 year old son has taken an interest in “rock collecting”. We have a cabin on Drummond Island, Michigan - part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We found this in the shallow water of a rock beach of Lake Huron. They look like bones in here to me, but I honestly haven’t a clue! I’m a history teacher, but one geology class in college hasn’t helped me much with this new adventure. I appreciate any thoughts! Thank you!
