Hello i went to Asfan region in Saudi Arabia and there where these red crumbly rocks and weird formations inside them. I also found fossil branches (I think) what types of rock is this? geological data at the bottom thank you

Hello! This is my first post. I am on holiday in Devon and visited a beach at Lyme Regis yesterday where I found the item below embedded in a large rock. It measured around 5” long and 3” wide. The whole thing was almost ovoid in shape which made me think it was an egg or the top of a bone i.e. neck of femur. When I tried to remove it from the rock with a chisel I realised that it formed a veneer cover to the edges of the rock (visible in third and fifth photos) and pieces were slowly flaking off until the item split into two fragments which is what I am left with. Any help in identifying it is appreciated. Thank you and happy hunting!

Found this in some Indonesian amber (Early Miocene age). Not sure if its a bug molt, dead bug before the resin landed on it, or a leaf. Tiny little thing, measuring 3 mm long x 1.5 mm wide. 1 pic at 55 x showing main item & what looks like a leg, 2nd pic at 100 x showing main item itself. I couldn't get better pics unfortunately as I'm working the amber by hand, so the other end is thick. The entire piece is only 4 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm x 12 mm in size (rectangular & kinda hard to hold). Any ideas?

I was fortunately given permission to rockhound on land just east of flagstaff and found a number of great crystals, chalcedony and agate. Inspecting these rocks I found these two images on a rock and I am wondering if they are leaf fossils? -

Hi. i recently purchased the “little pile of stuff” in the for sale section. And as I was looking over the slab I’m finding “heads” off of 5 trilobites (you can see one on upper right corner of the picture) and I’m getting more and more excited when I notice a discoloration on the side. So I carefully split it there. At first I’m thinking “oh cool! A leaf!” But as I’m looking at it I notice the strange structures right at the edge..now I’m not so sure anymore. What the heck did I luck into?
