  1. I bought this fragment along the road from Mahajanga to Antananarivo very close to the fossil beds where it was collected (or so I was told). I did not see it in situ. I believe we were near Berivotra. I'm curious to know which species of - presumably marine reptile - this is, and its approximate placement in the Mesozoic era. I've shared photos of this specimen with a Zurich-based expert in Triassic marine reptiles, but I've not yet heard back from him. Suggestions and questions are very welcome. Mike

    Tyrannosaur limb end?

Hi, any thoughts on this? From Hell Creek, Montana. 5.5 x 3.75 x 3 inches. Seller bought it ages ago, labelled as T-Rex bone but doesn't know if it actually is. It's quite battered, unfortunately, but hope there is enough to possibly ID it. I guess it would be indistinguishable from Nano, so it should be undeterminate tyrannosaur (unless it's Hadrosaur?) Thanks

    Cretaceous bird limb

Hello, Thoughts on this? It intrigued me because I don't see Cretaceous bird fossils for sale often and would be a nice, unusual addition. The only bird I see listed as from Judith River is Hesperornis. But the only picture really I can find of Hesperornis limbs, the bones look much too fat and too thick. It is listed as a bird limb bone, from Judith River Formation. Seller gave me quite specific location info in a message -- 20 miles South of the Canada border, on the edges of Milk River escarpment, Hill County, Montana. On a layer where Hadrosaurid fossils have been found by the seller. Thanks for the help
  4. Is this a genuine dinosaur limb? It is found from Ganzhou of Jiangxi, China. Late Cretaceous formation. The matrix is about 50cm in length.
  5. Hey all-- looking at this edmontosaurus fibula, considering buying. Do you think it's legit? Why/why not?

Large heavy limb bone Need ID help

I just love the color on this one, like a work of art to me. Like the last bone I posted, I don’t really expect to get an exact ID but was hoping to learn which bone this was. It is more than likely mastodon or mammoth. Titanotheres were quite a bit further west from the area I hunt. This bone has not been cleaned or preserved in any way , this is how it looked when I came out of the ground. If nothing else it will make a great display piece!

    What bone?

What bone is this? Thanks for the help
  8. Hi all, This limb bone was found along the River Crouch in Essex, UK. Pleistocene and Eocene deposits in the area. Any ideas where it could have come from? Thanks. Jay
  9. hi all, I got these as part of a collection. The ID card simply said "bird bone" from the Rancho LaBrea Fm, McKittrick. Honestly, birds are not my forte, but I'm trying, given all the bird material that I have collected from Lee Creek. But I digress... I could use some help with the ID of 4 bones. The two here are long limb bones, approximately 3.5in to 4in in length. As for an ID, that's all I can guess. Help! thanks!
  10. What ya think. Interesting one. I found this on a high exposed ridge over a small cliff. I frequently come across specimens in this area. But this one ???????
