Hey guys, I went on a little hike with my girlfriend in couvin, belgium. Of course we had to pass by the fossil site over there (with devonian fossils, if I am correct). I found something on the ground there that i havent seen before. So i was wondering what it could be? The piece is pretty big its about 7 by 3 cm and the little piece next to it was also probably attached. Its sitting on top of an acervularia ananas sp. I got from the exact same location a few years ago.

A couple of weeks ago I went on a trip to the Zandmotor beach in the Netherlands. This beach is mainly known for Pleistocene fossils. I try to go every couple of weeks, but this time I found a couple of really nice fossils - all within the time span of 20-30 minutes. In total I stayed for a couple of hours and found a couple more bone fragments. I would love to share my top 3 with you: The first one is the best fossil I’ve found so far: a piece of upper jaw from a woolly rhino (coelodonta antiquitatis) with the first molar. The second one is a complete radius from an otter (lutra lutra). The final find of the three was a fragment of a radius from either a cave lion (panthera leo spelaea) or a bear (ursus sp.). I still need to compare this one in real life with someone else’s collection. I’m incredibly stoked to have found these beautiful fossils and wanted to share it with you!

Hi, I just wanted to make sure that this is indeed a toe bone from Panthera atrox and not Panthera augusta. I trust the seller a fair bit, but I just want to make sure.

Hi, some years ago i inherited this lion tooth (or hyena ?). As i broke it when i desengaged it from its matrix, i kept the matrix without touching it until now. I knew it had something else inside. today i desengaged it and found this. It doesn't have the color of the tooth it was with, so, i wonder what it is : another tooth or maybe concretion ? Here is the lion tooth : Here is the piece i need help for identification : Thank you very much for your help. Cheers, Sophie.
