Hi All,
I was hoping someone could help with identifying what this formation is within this flint I cracked while flint knapping earlier this week. The formation looks very organic and even plant like however I know that mineral deposits and other geological formations can seem like fossil material to the untrained eye, and my eye isn't very trained in this! The flint used was taken from a beach in Littlehampton, Sussex, UK. This flint is of Cretaceous age if that's useful at all. If you could add your input on whether this is a fossil or a geological feature and what it is exactly that would be great. Thank you all for your help
