    ID required - potential horn

Found this specimen at a site in High Wycombe, England within Clay-with-Flints Formation approximately 1m below existing ground level.
  2. Hello Everyone, I acquired the fossils years ago through an estate sale. The original owner had poorly packed them in a cardboard box and some pieces were broken. They have been repacked very carefully since I found the damage and repacked them 20+ years ago. I am just taking the time to study them and trying to ID as many as possible. I appreciate and am thankful for any help! The original owner was an amateur archy sometime in the 1920s - 1930s. The only information available was these were found "Out West". The last member of the family was elderly and she had been suffering from Alzheimer's for years. Scant info I realize but it is all I have.

    Whale bone

Hello everyone, I found this bone when I was snorkeling in Florida. I think it’s a whale bone but I’m not sure. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks
  4. It is from a collector I admire but have no experience with purchasing so I need some help. Thank you!
  5. A couple of my friends are on vacation and have taken photos of this tooth they found in the ocean. I unfortunately do not have much knowledge in mamal teeth and was wondering if anyone knew what this was. Unfortunately they don't have anything to give for size refrence or the age of the tooth in question. I apologize.

    Some pieces of bone

I was recently at a fossil show in Buffalo NY at which I obtained some small, unidentified, pieces of bone. Three of these pieces I believe might be identifable, so if anyone know what they are, the information would be appreciated. The first one is just a small piece of bone, however, it has three holes on one end that I am curious about. Could they be bite marks? The second fossil is the one that I think has the best chance of being identified, due to it's shape. It is also unusually light for it's size. The final fossil I was told was a part of an Edmontosaurus annectens. I am wondering if it could be identified as a specific bone, due to the fact that it appears to be the end of a bone. Once again, any information is useful.

    Rodent or Fish?

Hello everyone. This little guy was found in some landscape rocks around a pool in Cocoa Beach Florida on September 1, 2021. Any ideas or information would be appreciated. I can take more/better pictures if needed. My kids and I are just getting into rock hounding and have good luck searching rock islands in parking lots and around buildings. We have found a lot of nice horn corals and Petoskey stones as well as a few cool agates and even a geode. So naturally we searched the pool surround while we were on vacation. This little guy was in with a mix of marble and sea shells. Hopefully you guys can help figure it out or point us in the right direction.
  9. Found on Mitchelville Beach, Hilton Head, SC Would be interested to know what it belonged to, whether fossil or not

    A Very Tiny Mystery

Hello wonderful fossil-people! If you and you're gang enjoy solving a groovy mystery, I have a post for you! This rock was found in an area of Northern Arizona that is very well know for producing lots and lots of bryozoan, brachiopod, and crinoid fossils, as well as crystals and geodes. The bit of rock in question was found in the side of what appears to be a broken geode. There is a triangular fragment of stone that does not match the material surrounding it. There is also a white discoloration encompassing the triangle that I've highlighted in green on one of the photos below. The colors in the 3rd photo are a little more true to what it looks like in real life. The geode is kind of a pink-ish color and the triangle "fossil" is a dark brown/reddish color. Given the abundance of marine fossils found in the same location, I wonder if this is also fossil. It just seems so out of place in this rock. I have oodles of bryozoan, brachiopod, & crinoids that I've found in the same location and I can share pictures of these, if it somehow helps So what do you think, fossil or random bit of stone? If it is a fossil give me your best guess as to what it might be... or even give me your worst guess. I'm not picky lol.

    Cow or Taurus tooth?

Found it walking by seashore. Waves washed it out. Could it be something interesting, or just regular cow tooth? I'm from Lithuania

    Teeth from same species?

Can anyone tell me if these teeth are from the same species? Or what species they are? They came from clump matrixes from Nebraska and South Dakota.
