Hi all My son and I are going through our fossil finds from Florida. We have been looking through multiple books and websites trying to figure out what this tooth is. We think it's from a tapir but would like the opinions of others with more experience. Thanks in advance! Bret & Zach

Hi all My son and I found these three different pieces of enamel/tooth fragments at the NSR. Are these fragments of tooth enamel from a horse? I've looked through some images and think that's what they may be; however, I am new to mammalian fossils. We want to see if anyone can provide some identification/information. Hopefully, the photos remain sequential and do not get jumbled up. Thanks in advance! Got this jaw/skull piece at a shop recently that was labeled Hyracodon. I don't think it looks like Hyracodon, but I don't know what it could be. Any ideas?

I purchased these in person. The tooth was represented as being a Bison Tooth, found in the Kansas River. The vertebra was represented as being a Whale Vertebra, and i forgot to ask for the location? I thought that at the very least, it was some type of Cetacean Vertebra?

I’ve never found a bone shaped anywhere close to this one. Found in North Central Nebraska, miocene. Any ideas?

We found this heavy fossilized bone at a river bed today in the Duck River of Middle Tennessee. Thank you all for any who can help us find some possible leads as to what this may have come from. Found by my 7 year daughter Taliah.

This was found on the Missouri River. It doesn’t look like anything els in my collection. Maybe it’s a baby pronghorn or a domesticated goat?

Had it suggested to me on Treasure Net that this could be a cranium of some sort, what are your thoughts? - Roughly 2.5"x2.5" and spherical in shape - appears to have some sort of seam that's visible from the outside but not the inside - Hard and inflexible (overall strength and hardness I'd compare to a thick popsicle stick) - Found on a newly exposed sand bank along the North Saskatchewan River

Hello friends! I need some help on something I found in Monmouth County, NJ (USA). It's from Big Brook, a Cretaceous deposit, but in my opinion; is either modern or Pleistocene (open for correction). I'm thinking mammal but not sure. It also has a 'polished' look to it, so I'm thinking possible claw. It has a wood-grain texture, but I don't believe it to be fossil wood. As always, all help is greatly appreciated! -Frank H.

Hi all My son and I found this large bone in Orange County, Florida. There is a socket at one end. At first, we thought it was a scapula; however, after more searching, we are stumped. Any help IDing it is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Found this tooth while processing some Kemp Clay (Maastrichtian) matrix. It is possible my sample was contaminated with Pleistocene material. I've looked around for similar teeth online, both Cretaceous and Pleistocene, but have come up empty-handed so far. The crown is sort of "bowl" shaped and the rim is ornamented with varying cusps. When viewed from below, I can see four apical foramina. It kinda looks like some of the metatherian teeth online, but I haven't seen an exact match. Thanks!

I may have created a monster. I took the son of a friend fossil hunting on the Brazos River in SE Texas a couple of days ago. He’s about to be a senior in high school and has never been fossil hunting. He went out by himself today and found something that has stumped me. He texted me pics and my immediate thought was Mammoth tooth in bone. I decided to drive to where he was since it wasn’t really out of my way home. Even in person I can’t decide if this is an unerupted juvenile mammoth tooth in jaw bone or something entirely different. I see potential mammoth tooth plates, but no enamel. It is 100% bone, typical of Pleistocene material that I’ve found on the Brazos River for the last 15 years. The only other thing I can possibly think of as an ID is tortoise shell, but there are no sutures to indicate that

Hello everyone, I went to visit family this past week in Gilmer County, West Virginia and found these mammal teeth in a creek. They were found pretty close to each other, which makes me wonder if they were from the same animal. They appear to be old, but I don’t think they are completely mineralized. They remind me a lot of the bison teeth I find down in Peace River, FL, but this is weird considering there are no cow or buffalo farms very close to the area I found these (that I know of). Anyone have any idea what these are, why they’re here, and how old they could be?
