Here is another activity going on in the Denver area.... WIPS is the Western Interior Paleontology Society, a group of amateurs and professionals based in Denver. They do a Symposium every other year and this is the first one in a few years due to covid. Mammals is the theme... It is also available on Zoom... virtual attendance... Registration is 120 bucks for the two days, and only 25 for students and educators. There will be a half dozen speakers each day, art exhibits and fossil displays... Anyone here who does prep work might want to look into it. At least one of us will be there teaching folks how to use carbowax in fossil prep.

Hey everyone, The Paleontological Society of Austin holds meetings once a month and always on the third Tuesday. Those meetings have always been open to the public. Now that we are doing them virtually via Zoom I would like to invite the members of the Fossil Forum as well. The meeting starts at 7pm CDT and we usually have a lecture for the first hour (often interesting) and then a short club business meeting (boring for guests). Last weekend I had the chance to go to deep spring rd for the first time. It was very ambitious but since @Scylla was going I figured I would just go for it! It was really snowy I’m really excited to be able to study this site further once the site thaws. I saw the literature said the rock exposed shows a clear coarsening up sequence and the fauna changes as well. I really can’t wait to catologue my finds from here! regardless of the weather I still found some goodies. I did find a greenops with the tail tucked underneath. Almost a full prone. I was a

Singapore Fossils Collectors just had our end year gathering at a new location! As usual, there was food, there was laughter, there was trade, and there were so many fossils!
