Some of the nicer fossils from Morocco that I own. Let's start! - Set of nice spinosaurus teeth. Found in the same tunnel and layer. Only some meters away from eachother. 11 and 10.8 centimeter KemKem group, Morocco - Hainosaurus Boubker jaw pieces (dentary + snout) associated from an adult specimen. Really rare. Sidi Chennane, Oued Zem Morocco - Huge 10.6 centimeter carcharodontosaur crown with neat orane/brown like colors. KemKem group, Morocco - Set of 35 associated Otodus Obliquus teeth. Biggest one measures 8CM. Took a while to find one. El Khourigba, Morocco

Hello, I am trying to get into contact with forum member @dshamilla regarding some fossils in his collection, does anyone know his whereabouts? It seems he has not been active since 2018, and I cannot reach him via PM. In my search I came across this obituary: https://chestertontribune.com/previous-articles/Obituaries 2018/david_stephen_hamilla_age_70_pas.htm Which has me wondering if this is the same person and he has passed away? If so, does anyone know of a way I can get into contact with his family, or someone who has access to his collection? Thanks.

I started off in the morning checking a place out, and ended up finding one full flexicalymene roller. I left early and had intentions of putting up a couple blinds, tending some game cameras, and then going to a new spot. After putting up the blinds and replacing batteries on cameras and hanging a new one, I decided that it was too late to go fossil hunting where I wanted to. I instead headed to a well known area and happened upon a member of the forum. Jeffrey P., from New York. Neither of us were there for very long. I am not sure what all he found, possibly he will share later. I ended up finding one slightly damaged whole flexi roller and left partials. I saw a local guy, a woman from Illinois, and Jeffrey from New York. I seriously had no clue this area was so popular until joining this forum. Anyhow, Jeffrey if you read this, again, great to meet you! Stay safe out there and good luck to you!

I find skulls one of the most interesting pieces of fossil you can ever own. So here I'd love to see all of your fossil skulls, or parts of one. Here is my Pleistocene era skull of a Ursus arctos. An ice age brown bear. Very very uncommon find.

Found a type of rock today, quite unusual. Anyone can easily obtain it a number of ways but this one is special. A milestone. I joined this forum September 3rd 2020, knowing very little, just about the few things I've collected and very basic information. Came on with a "dinosaur footprint" and was absolutely clueless as to the species. Some kind forum members quickly showed me the way and entertained all my questions and rocks. Since then, I have learned so much. The amount of knowledge I've gotten from this forum in 365 days is crazy. Sometimes if I read my own posts I realize how my fossil knowledge has grown exponentially. It doesn't seem possible in one year and it came from all kinds of people of all ages from all parts of the world. This is not just an amazing place to learn, it is an amazing place. I mean how many places are better than being able to share your finds, ask for identifications you don't know, look at the amazing fossils other people have found, watch preparation as a fossil is awakened and all contained in a very nice forum without the problems other online platforms have. It's my milestone but it really is a big thanks to everyone who got me there. Thank you.

Hi friends, One of our younger members, @FossilsAnonymous, is convalescing from a major surgery. He will be in the hospital for another week or so and then will have several months of very limited activity and convalescence at home. I am certain he would love to hear from you in the next month or so! If you would like to contribute some fossil goodies to keep him engaged during his recovery, I am sure he would love that as well. To send a package, please DM me and I'll send FossilsAnonymous' mailing address. -Aaron @WhodamanHD @Gizmo @HoppeHunting @Metopocetus

I am here to talk and show you my first collector's pieces and especially to have your opinions on their authenticity. I want to specialize in small reptiles, amphibians and fish and also trilobites. thank you

Hi my name is Bronson, I have loved dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures since I could walk, I always wanted to be an archaeologist but my academic skills and personal get up and go prevented me from doing this, and I went on to other loves that I could specialise in (research of WW2 weapons and related items, and have my own forum on this subject) , but my interest never left me and I would pick up the odd fossil/mineral etc over the years, my health over recent years has meant that hobbies that took a more physical effort I have had to give up (motorbike riding, regular shooting, wildlife photography) so I now am looking at less energetic hobbies. I have bought a few fossils over the years, I basically bought items I really liked at a price I thought was reasonable, that way if they turn out to be incorrect I have not lost to much, but have only bought from good sources, I look forward to putting pictures of what I have bought and having any experts out there identify them for me, a friend has made some very nice wooden stands for some of them and I want to add some name plates, but dont want to put the wrong names on them as I am no expert.

Hey guys. I've been browsing this forum for a couple weeks now so decided to post. I am located in Mississauga Ontario. I spent a lot of time walking my dog near the etobicoke creek this summer and rediscovered my interest in fossil hunting. Other than the creek, I made drive up to Craigleith Ontario last weekend, and Whitby Ontario a couple times before. No spectacular finds yet but enough encouragement to keep looking. I would like to do some digging in a quarry but I assume only organized groups are allowed. If anyone has info on where to get involved that would be awesome! I've got no problem driving a couple hours on most weekends to meet up if anyone is planning a trip (hopefully even this season if winter doesnt hit too soon). Feel free to shoot me a message! I'll post some pictures after work of what I've found, for now here's my dog:

Hello, I am new to this forum but not new to other UK forums or fossils. I live in the West Midlands, England. I have been interested in fossils since 1992. My current fossil interests are fossils under the microscope, I have larger ones in my collection but I have been studying for 9 years now ones from the Oxford Clay, from which I have found two new species of Brittle Star. For many years my favourite place to go is the Isle of Wight. Looking forward to reading lots of posts and learning even more.

Hello everyone, I am very excited to finally be a member of The Fossil Forum community! I discovered this site quite some time ago and have used it on numerous occasions for location assistance, fossil identification, and to learn more about the geological history that encompases this fascinating field. I figured it was time to commit to a username and sign up! I started collecting interesting nature 'artifacts' when I was a child (didn't everyone have a rock collection with a few funky acorn tops and feathers in a box somewhere?) and my passion has grown in my adult years. I consider myself a novice as my skills are basic and my collection is small. I am interested in learning how to (correctly, lol) identify shark teeth and fossilized bones while discovering more about the prehistoric nature of my home state, Florida. On behalf of all the lurkers out there, Thank you all so much for everything you have shared and for being such an incredibly supportive group. I wouldn't have a quarter of my knowledge or literature about this field if not for this community.

Today I was fortunate to get the opportunity to hunt with a group of members on the Peace river in a stretch I've not been to yet. I personally didn't find the holy grail but did get to see some pretty nice pieces found. I would like to thank all the folks who came out today including Chris( Search4), John(Sacha), Ken and Tammy( Digit), Paul( Cam28), Kyle( Addicted2fossils), Cris (Cris) ,Grimlock (Dan) and his son Wolfie, Sir Tommy the toad (Jeremy) and his family and Calvin Jenkins (Kevin) My phone was close to dead by the time we arrived because I had to use my gps on it to get there and thus only have a handful of pics to share but it was great to get together with these folks for a hunt in our great state included is a pic of my better finds including a nice posterior Meg, hemis and a horse tooth. Please feel free to add some pics to this. Also, thank you John for putting us on some good hunting grounds for this trip
