Let me show off this recent find. Some of the beaches in the Netherlands are reinforced with sand dredged up from the North Sea bottom. The sediments are mainly early Holocene and late Pleistocene. Mammoth bones etc are quite common. If you are lucky you may find nice mesolithic artefacts as well. Many barbed points have been found over the years as well as worked bone, antler etc. The age is ca 9.000 - 7.000 years old. Enjoy.

Niels
