I need help 2 give an id 2 this fossil it is from The Mississippian age found in Harrodsburg Limestone Formation Washington County, Indiana On the tag is saying it is Orodus which wasn’t around at that time and wasn’t a Hybodont Someone Who works with lots of Carboniferous fossils said it could be a Saivodus root(maybe upside down) what do you think. The root/tooth is about 0.75 cm in size what do you think ? The bottom picture is a fossil of a Saivodus

I found this unidentified Carboniferous Shark tooth on line and was hoping I might get some ID assistance. The tooth is from the Harroldsburg Limestone, Washington County Indiana. The tooth is 16 mm. I did not find any publications on the formation so I have been researching recent discoveries and evaluations of existing taxa from the Paleozoic. I know the ID's with the Cladodont type teeth can get tricky and I have been trying to read up to see if I can get close to an ID. In my research, I found some Saviodus teeth from Ireland that look very similar. The tooth is figure E looks quite simila

Here is another Mississippian shark tooth that I need some ID help with. I am still waiting for a bit of information from the seller but I am pretty sure this is a Burlington Limestone tooth from the Biggsville Quarry, IL. I had asked the seller if he had any Venustodus teeth and he sent me a few pictures of this one. It looks similar to other venustodus teeth I saw as I researched this but it looks a little different from others that had the same ID. It certainly seems to be a really nice tooth and one the kids would like learning about ! My gut says this is probably what I am loo
