  1. Just posting some pics of some finds from Chivo Canyon from 2020 and 2024. Would really appreciate any ID inputs on the Unknown Fossils especially the roundish one with many circles in it. It was roughly 4-5" in diameter in the center of a roughly 1 foot diameter rock. Guessing Sponge, Coral, or may an Echinoderm like an Urchin. The Chivo Canyon area is known to have fossils from the Eocene, and Oligocene periods. There are also a couple other unknown fossils which could be bones but not sure. The Tower Snails or Turritellas are probably mostly Turritella Uvasana. I don't know what the other Gastropods are. Thanks in advance for any ID ideas! -Chris.

    Gastropod and cephalopod?

Found on a railroad track with other Paleozoic fossils
  3. A few months back I recieved a bucket full of material from the (now closed) Tielt Formation, Egem, Belgium (Eocene, Ypresian, 53 mya) The material should be rich in shark teeth (I am waiting for the spring weather to go through it all) but there were some very nice Gastropods and Bivalves in the mix as well. Unfortunately Bivalves and Gastropods are far from my speciality, especially Cenozoïc ones... So I was hoping someone here might have some more experience with these critters here to might ID them. 1: Some Bivalves 2) A block with some bivalves, a gastropod and a Rotularia below. 3: A nice Gastropod 4: A gastropod 5: Another Gastropod

    Gastropoda (Ukraine) ?

Hello! I found them in Western Ukraine. Help, please, with identification. Are they Gastropoda moluscs? Which type of replacement it is? And from which period it could be (I found fossils in this place from Neogene and Cretaceus)? Thanks in advance!!!

    Unknown Shell Fossils

Hi there folks. I received these two fossil shells as a gift but they came with none information about its identity or origin. I was wondering if it is possible to have any information about them based only in these images. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure they are real fossils because (to my completely newbie understanding) they don't feel "that fossilized". Hope someone can shed a light here. Thanks in advance,
