Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify these trilobites. Thanks for your help. The first two are Moroccan trilobites. I think they belong to the genus Calymene, but I am not sure. I have an ID card that says they are from the Ktaoua Group, Anti-Atlas Region, Morocco, Upper Ordovician. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks. This is another trilobite from Morocco. I think it is Proteus sp., but would like confirmation. My ID card says its from Ofaten, Morocco and is Middle Devonian in age. Is it correct? Last, I have some trilobites that I think are from the Wheeler Shale. I think they are Elrathia. Unfortunately, I don't have more information on them. I received them as a gift from my dad when I was around 5. I didn't think to take down notes on location, formation, and age at the time.

From the Morocco phosphate beds. It is described as repaired in places. But, I dunno, it looks suspicious to me. The teeth look placed in. What are others thoughts? Maybe im wrong and its,real. Or real and not the best prep job? Any thoughts would be great.

Hello, friends. Can anyone give me a helping hand identifying this, please? Not the Asaphellus trilobite, but the other object. This is Moroccan Fezouata, so Early Ordovician. Notice the thoracic segments curve the opposite way to most trilobites. It is convex on both sides, though seemingly a bit flattened. It has a 'flange' on one side of the anterior and presumably had one on the other side. Bit of a trilo? Aglaspid? Xiphosurid? Some sort of echinoderm? Any guesses most welcome. Thank you very much. Hi, Saw this fossil for sale and the seller believes it might be a partial vertebra from a Sauropod. It is from the Kem Kem in Morocco and I am not sure if there are enough diagnostic features to be sure, anyone have an idea as to what it might be?. It is 22cm in length. Thanks.

I have had this carcharodontosaurid tooth from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco since Christmas 2011 and it is still among my most prized fossils. I took a photo of the cross section today and noticed that it's a rather fat tooth. There are other old pictures of it in my Gallery but does anyone know what tooth position such a fat Carch tooth could be? Premax, maxilla, dentary? The tooth is 7 centimeters long. Hi. Does anyone know what this is? I bought it as part of a wholesale lot of Moroccan mosasaur teeth. I'm guessing that it is Maastrichtian in age and from Oued Zem, Morocco. Thanks for any help.

Part 2 of my Fathers basement I have 2 crocodile skulls and one turtle. I believe they are Replicas? but the teeth on the crocodile are Fossils? once again I believe these are out of Morocco in the 70s or 80s? Thank you

I found these "dinosaur eggs?" stashed away in my fathers old basement. where they came from I do not know, possibly Morocco. if anyone has any insight that would be great! im sorry I did not take 6 different shots of each angle. if the pictures are inadiqent Ill try and dig them out of storage. Hello, a few more Mosasaur jaw pieces that I am interested in. I can't say no to a Mosasaur. It's my fav marine reptile and one of my favorite extinct beasts. 1 -- Eremiasaurus -- from Ouled Abdoun Basin. 2 - Halisaurus -- Ouled Abdoun Basin -- This is my fav of the three. 3 - Prognathodon - Ouled Abdoun Basin. This one looks like the tooth has been repaired? I can't see anything signs that have cropped up on a few past jaws I've posted --- so hopefully, these three are all good and I can pop a bid in for the trio. Thanks for the help, as always.

It was initially being sold as plesiosaur when I inquired about it, but seller says it was mislabelled and is pliosaur--which, if accurate, even better! But I am dubious over Pliosaur ID because I don't think I've ever seen any Morocco pliosaur fossils up for sale. But, if anyone can take a look and let me if A) It looks legit and B ) Whether you think Pliosaur or plesiosaur is accurate, that would be great. 80 million years old, from Morocco. 17 inches along the straight edge and 10 inches along the bottom. Thanks for any help!

Hello again everyone. These are two of my favorite fossils, both Calymene spp. The first one was owned by my teacher for his biology classroom until he agreed to sell it to me because I had grown to love it. Unfortunately, as you can see, its cephalon is very damaged so that makes it more difficult to tell what it is. I know that it's definitely a Calymene, but I'm wondering which species, if possible to tell. In my own personal research, I found that I believed he most closely resembled a Calymene tristani? but I am very much an amateur and am not sure on that. If anyone could give me some more input despite his relatively poor condition, I'd appreciate it. This second one I purchased online, and was sold as a Calymene sp. from Morocco. It is quite a bit smaller than the first one and its body appears more compressed, for lack of a better word?, which leads me to believe it's a different species. It is also significantly better preserved. Is this Moroccan species simply unnamed, or is there a more specific name out there that I'm unable to find? Thanks in advance, everyone :-)

Another Mosasaur jaw section

Being sold as part of the bottom jaw of a Mosasaur--no species mentioned. From Khourigba, Morocco. 5CM high x 10cm long x 6 cm wide. To me, the jaw section seems legit bone with the photo showing the bone structure and the shattered roots of teeth, but is the whole tooth added or is it actually part of it? Thanks very much.

I don't have a Mosasaur vert, so hope this is accurate. Possible Prognathodon. Is Mosasaur accurate, or a chunky plesiosaur or croc? Any help appreciated.

Ancepz I will put on post 2 1 - 15cm long from Benguerir 2 - 12 cm long --the different shading at the root, is that a sign the teeth are added? 3 - 10.5 cm

Hello! I recently saw this crocodile skull fossil at a rock shop. I understand that there are many fake croc fossils from Morocco, but I'm having trouble identifying this one. I don't see any obvious signs that are present with bad fakes, but I'm a real novice at fossil identification. Are there any red flags I'm missing? For reference, the skull is approximately 11" x 4".

Realistically, it probably is composite. I have a UV light and can give more details about it if they are needed. Thanks!

Labelled as a Mosasaur skull, from Morocco. I suspect it's more partial skull or skull sections rather than the entirety (but still pretty nice) But, anyone able to take a look and give your thoughts on if it looks legit? It'd make a jolly nice centerpiece to my Kem Kem display. If this gets the go ahead as being real, I will order it and a few other bits from the same seller tonight. Quite small, so either a juvenile or a smaller species of Mosasaur? It's the small size that's making me question it. Picture 1 -- the eye socket and other hole match other Mosasaur skulls, so I'm correct that that's the upper skull section? Picture 4 -- this looks like it has teeth sockets? So a jaw. Picture 6 -- Is the longish, segmented bone a row of verts? From Mosasaur or something else in the matrix? If someone could take a look, that would be awesome. Thanks

Hi everyone, Some time ago I was doing some prep on a block from the Phospate mines of Khouribga in Morocco (Cretaceous, Maastrichtian, 70 mya) with some Idgamanosaurus teeth in it. There were a lot of goodies in the block besides the two rooted Igdamanosaurus teeth like some coprolites, fish verts, a mosasaur tooth, Cretalamna tooth & Enchodus tooth. But I also found this little shark tooth which is around 2 mm in length, but I can't seem find a proper ID for it. So I was hoping that there might be someone here on the forum with some knowlegde on micro teeth from Khouribga that might know what this tooth is. Thank you in advance!

I've got this long flat bone from the Kem Kem with a wide base, it was presumably attached to a larger bone. It also seems like it's missing the tip. I thought it might be a small spinosaurid neural spine but it has a weird lump of bone on one side so it seems like it is something else. Is this lump a muscle scar? Or a healed wound? And could this bone be an odd spinosaurid neural spine or is it something entirely else?
