Real mosasaur jaw from Morocco?
JojoMozza posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi guys, I'm thinking about purchasing this mosasaur jaw. The seller says that it is natural and it looks very real. Just want to get a second opinion. Thank you so much! Jojo -

I purchased this Spinosaurus Moroccanus tooth off eBay and I wanted to see if it is authentic. Here are the measurements: Length: 1.50" Width: 0.33" Depth: 0.33" Here are my questions. First, is this tooth authentic? Secondly, given the size, is it a baby dino tooth? What's with the colorful blotches on the top middle of the tooth? Does this bone have any roots on it or is the whole bone the tooth? Sorry, I don't know much about dino teeth and I hope some of you can help me. Thanks for your time....I really appreciate it =)

Hi I recently acquired a "pile" of 10 bone fossils/fragments from Morocco. It was sort of a surprise paket since I didn't know what I am buying exactly. However, what I received looks extremly interesting to me. For a start, I would like to show one of the big ones. Thank you for your time and your thoughts. This is the information I received from the seller (not the same person that found the fossils so it is potentially inaccurate or wrong): - Found in Kem Kem fossil beds in Eastern Morocco near the border with Algeria - Cenomanian Some observations: - The bone seems to be fossilized and is quite heavy - The ends of the bone are broken off and missing unfortunately - The bone is HUGE! Ok, lets attach some pictures now... Bone Nr. 1

Hi. I have some more bones you can probably help me with. They are from Kem Kem in Morocoo near the border to Algeria. According to the seller they have been found in the same spot (within a few m^2). I am pretty sure the two on the left are metatarsals. Please let me know what you think.

Partial right humerus (upper arm) of an undiscribed Dromaeosaurid. The size is very similar to that of Bambiraptor. This animal was possibly just over a meter long.

Hi all, I've this nice Moroccan trilobite. The seller did not know what genus or species it was. I have an inkling that it is Scabriscutellum, though could be wrong. Can the genus or species be pinpointed? Thank you! Jojo

So the other day I visited a local tiny shop that sells minerals and fossils, and snagged a Mosasaur tooth from Khouribga Morocco. The label only said 'Mosasaur tooth, Khouribga, Morocco.' Naturally, as the curious person that I am, Im trying to find the species of the owner. After I researched a bit I narrowed down the species to those found in Morocco, yet I had trouble finding one with similar teeth. Globidens and Carinodens were quickly out of the question, since the teeth are rounded and kinda look like mushrooms to some extent, very unlike mine. Yet practically all the teeth I saw for these other Morocco Mosasaurs had slightly hooked teeth that looked thick and heavy, While mine is practically vertical, with almost no curve to it, small and light. Anyone know any Mosasaur species with teeth like this found in Khouribga Morocco..? The measurement of the tooth without the root is 1.4 inches long. The tooth has a diameter around barely over 1 centimeter. Here are species found in Morocco that I had narrowed down to, minus the Globidens and the Carinodens included- Eremiasaurus, Prognathodon-Anceps, Solyvai, Curii, Mosasaurus Baugei, Tethysaurus, Platecarpus, Halisaurus, and Goronyosaurus. ~If you need another angle of the tooth feel free to ask~

Hello my friends, I am showing my new purchase: it is defined by the seller as a generic raptor tooth which comes from Kem Kem Morocco. First of all is this identification right? Secondly is it possible to specify more in detail the species? Thank you very much Alessio
