Mosasaurs Jaws from Morocco Thoughts?
RobFallen posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Thoughts on these please guys, quite like them but how genuine are they? also which would be the best to own if you only had space in your collection for one of them? #1 Eremiasaurus heterodontus Size of Jaw = 13.3 cm (5.25 inches) long by 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide #2 Halisaurus arambourgi Size of Jaw = 11.4 cm (4.5 inches) long. Teeth = 2 cm to 2.5 cm (1 inch) approximately thanks- 11 replies

Hello my name is Andrew Fredericks. I am 14 (turning 15 on July 29th) and live in New York. I’ve loved extinct life all my life, but I only started collecting fossils a little over a year ago. Last summer I spent my money made from mowing lawns to buy fossils online (something I wanted to do for a long time). The prize piece of my collection is 5.51 inch Megalodon tooth that cost $250. This summer I went fossil hunting myself for the first time with my mom at the Mahantango formation (PA) and again at Big Brook (NJ). The reason I started an account here is because I think I found something quite rare at Big Brook NJ. I think I found a Mosasaurs tooth fragment, however it is 2 inches long and could be close to 3 inches if complete. I did some research and apparently this is really big for a Mosasaur, and fits the bill for Moasaurus maximus/hoffmami, which can be found in the area albeit very rarely. So I figured I’d use the forum as a starting place to identify what I hope is a rare fossil.
