Hello, and thank you for your help and interest. I have collected from Big Brook in the past, but this time I was finding items of similar composition in the same general area of the stream bed. There had been recent heavy rainfall and the stream bed seemed layered differently. I have been tricked before, and could be getting tricked again, because after a while I trick myself into thinking everything is a fossil. After reading "When Dinosaurs Roamed New Jersey," I went back to Monmouth County with a renewed excitement. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated if any of the

Mososaur jaw, grasshopper + footprints

Hello everyone! Being the type of person I am with I won the following items at an online auction. These include the following (hopefully real) items: - Two Mososaur jaws, one with significant restoration - A fossil grasshopper - Ampibian footprints If possible, please help me understand whether any of these are real or if elements of them are. These just arrived today. A Mosasaur (Prognathadon) root and tooth -- I read about fake roots. How can one tell? A Carcharocles Megalodon which is just under 6" at 5.91" Hope you all enjoy My second image will have to be another topic

Found in earth moved for works on the South Downs all within about 15 yards of each other. The sub base under the 3 foot earth layer is solid chalk. I was metal detecting when I started to find what looks like teeth. They are hard like stone but they are not Flint. Most have something like Flint but whiter attached in some parts. There are a few possible bones. I have cleaned the surface of some of the bigger tooth shapes and they clean up like Ivory. Very smooth. The large ones are about 3 inches long on the tooth but about 4-5 inch including the roots. Some smaller ones are about an inch lon
