Some information about the exhibition in German on the Süddeutsche Zeitung webpage: CLICK It was found in in South Dakota and was bought by the "Dinosaurier Museum Altmühltal" and will be displayed there in the future in central Bavaria. Information on the webpage of the Museum in German: CLICK Unfortunately I couldn't find any news about this in English. But I still hope you enjoy the pictures. To put his size in perspective:

So, since I live in Munich I thought it would be a nice idea to show you our little, but great museum here in Munich I think this Museum is mostly known for the Holotyp of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus that got destroyed in WW II. This is the Museum today: Back then the Museum was at a different location in Munich. Here you see a picture of that building back then after the bombing in 1944. As you can see, the building itself didn't collapse, but basically everything inside. They even show the famous Holotyp of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus. I had the pleasure to speak today with one of the staff members about this. After the war members of the museum tried to dig up anything they could find, but unfortunately no part of the Holotyp of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus could be recovered. At lest they tried to find it, but it's lost forever. Would the Holotyp survived the war, I think this would be the highlight of the museum. But still, there are some fine pieces in the museum Bradysaurus seeleyi Plateosaurus engelhardti Prestosuchus chiniquensis Monoclonius nasicornus Triceratops indet. (they name it just Triceratops, no species) Placodus gigas Allosaurus fragilis Megaloceros giganteus Ursus spelaeus Dinomis ingens Smilodon californicus Trichechus manatus Gomphotherium angustidens Thats for the specis I got the names. And now the rest: Enjoy (some names you can find in the pictures)

Hello everybody from Munich in Germany Like most people I got fascinated with fossils and Dinos back in the 90s when I was a little kid and Jurassic Park was all over the place. My childhood is long gone but I never lost my love for those creatures. Diffrence is I'm now a little older with a job and money to spend. I would love to finally start my own little fossil collection and hope to get some nice stuff during the following years. So I started to look in the most generic stuff like Spinosaurid and Carcharodontosaurid teeth/bones from Kem Kem region. Since I live in europe there are quite a lot online dealers where you can buy them. Also it's quite easy to get your hands on fossiled fish from the jurassic age here in Bavaria. I don't want to go and buy the first tooth/bone I see. I would love to have quality over quantity. One good tooth is better than ten mediocre teeth. I do understand that especially from the Kem Kem region fakes are a problem and since I'm a beginner, I really hope I will finde some good advice here. I've already started to read lot's of articles on this page about identification adn guidelines on buying. In addition I'm planing to visit in the next few weeks some museums in Germany. I think I can snap some nice pictures for you.

I am planning to visit the munich show this year, and i wanted to ask a few questions that i couldnt get answers for on the website itself. 1. Do you reccomend the show? 2. Is there an entry fee, and if there is how much does it cost? 3. What are the laws on buying and leaving the country with fossils in germany? I owe those that answer a favor.
