Found on Myrtle Beach, Jan 3, 2020. This tiny round fossil is smooth on the top, perhaps a quarter inch thick, and has an unusual indentation on the bottom. I immediately thought some kind of fish vertebra, but that smoothness at the top stops me. Not sure why a vertebra would have such a smooth side. Thank you! Paula

Over the holiday I examined some fossils found by my wife at Myrtle Beach over the last couple months. Here is one that I first thought was a cow shark tooth. Now I'm wondering if it is really a bramble shark tooth. The root is obviously gone. Could I get some opinions please? If this is a bramble, is it rarer than a cow? I already thought it was a decent find, but is it even more special?

My wife annoyed me by finding this at Myrtle Beach today. Can folks confirm this is a mammoth tooth fragment. She gets to spend a lot of time at the beach. She finds stuff on my bucket list and doesnt even know what's she's finding. Grrrr

Hello again, I’m sure you all get tired of IDing so many shark teeth. However I’m not confident enough in my ability to properly identify these myself. I found them years back when I was at Myrtle Beach, SC. Thinking bottom right is sand tiger due to the upward curve. Bottom left lemon shark? Not sure about the rest. (I thought I knew at one point, but that was a long time ago.) Also, is there any way of getting an approximate age? Thanks, Nate

Found this on Myrtle beach. I have no clue what it is. It has 2 side holes, 1 hole directly in the front, 1 one the top part, and 2 notches in the back.

My wife found this yesterday at Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm thinking maybe a broken off piece of mastodon. What do folks think?
