Crude Scraper, it is quite large compared with others I have found, measuring at just over 5 in. -
Was looking for fossils in a creek in Florida, and I found a very strange piece of wood that I initially thought was a bone because it was dense/hard. I then noticed there were markings on it that looked unnatural. I’m guessing it could be something Native American but I also know nothing about Native American artifacts. Could someone help me. Also, could anyone id this leg bone and teeth? I’m guessing they are both mammals but I don’t know how to tell which is which, and I’m doubtful either of them are fossilized.

Hi all, I’m pretty inexperienced and have been starting by going sharks tooth hunting around Venice Beach, FL as it is very accessible for me and always a guaranteed find of at least a few teeth! This is my third or fourth time and we decided to take a whole bucket to sift through on dry ground in good light, and starting setting aside anything that looked interesting in addition to teeth and ray spine fragments. When we found this piece, we all agreed (with no real knowledge to back this up however) that it looked manmade and too unnatural to not be a tool of some sort. As far as texture/material, it appears very similar to the bone/teeth fossils commonly found at Casperson Beach. Any help with identification? It would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Found in southern Mississippi, USA near a creekbed in the late 1950's-early 60's. Looking for any information on age and confirmation that it IS a gar scale fossil arrowhead. Just under 5 cm/2 inch in length.

Found by myself and my kids since the 80s in Texas in creeks, river beds and tributary’s of rivers. Early Texas man is my passion and anything from the past Pleistocene and before ,bones and fossils and rocks. Countless hours in the field enjoying Gods magnificent creations. Countless hours researching reading books searching interweb to identify finds. Feel free to comment on any of my pics. I am a amateur and always looking for knowledge from the people and experts. Interesting item from completed online auction. Trilobite?

Greetings all. I'd like to post a link to a completed online auction that had an item that I believe members would find interesting. However the auction page is at that big auction site. Can someone tell me if such a post would run counter to the rules of the forum? It seems as if it might. But it's also can be a bit of a problem if I post images from the auction without permission of the seller. I believe the item is interesting enough that it would be worth members seeing. It was described as a native American paint cup found in CA. What makes it of such interest on TFF is that it was supposedly, and possibly, made from a trilobite fossil. So it is a fossil and an artifact. And while the formations in that area wouldn't "naturally" hold fossils of that age, it does look like it may be a trilobite fossil. There is what looks to be a partial multi-lens eye present. Before seeing that I was thinking more along the ammonite lines. I am too inexperienced to make such a call. So is it a bad thing to post the link to the completed auction? If so, I won't do it. I don't know either the buyer or the seller, FWIW. Thanks. EDIT: PHOTOS ONLY:

This was found years ago on my uncle's farm in Southern Minnesota. I only presume it may be a maul because it was found in close proximity with the other maul I have in this collection and does seem to show some wear on its tip. -

My ten-year-old and I moved to this property in middle Georgia about two years ago and started finding all kind of arrowheads and native American things. Now I'm starting to think I'm losing my mind because there are so many other things being revealed as the rain washes away my hill.

Hi all here are some finds I cannot identify from Big Brook. Please let me know what you think! Any help is appreciated. First up I believe is some kind of pleistocene horse tooth fragment? But I am not sure. Thought it was a ratfish jaw frag at first from the other side, but it's like nothing I've seen. Below, this is what looks to be a fish tooth of some kind, but it seems to have some of the root attached. So no hole visible at the bottom. Slightly larger than a quarter in length!

I forgot to post my last North Sulphur River Texas hunt. I found a nice variety of items. The cretaceous fish piece was definitely my find of the day. I had a crop duster buzz me for at least an hour. I found some nice coprolite specimens and a cool reworked artifact.

Sorry I don't know where this comes from exactly. It was found at an estate sale in Texas. Was told it was a part of a collectors pieces from Southwest U.S. and was presented as Native American. So far Native American people think it is a fossil so here I am asking your opinion. It's heavy, fits in the palm of your hand, has a noticeable single ridge on the humped side, has a hole in the top and a hole in the flatter side; is black in color with many grey channels or etchings on the humped side. In your opinion is this a fossil and if so any idea what it is of? If it helps, it feels kind of cool to touch. Thank you for your interest and time.

Hi everyone, Im from morocco and exactly the south of morocco,, for like 2 weeks ago me and my friend we were working in an very very old house in the desert near "Guelmim" city, we were trying to break down a wall inside the house in order to re arrange and renewing the house. Well during our work we did break down the wall but the found something was hidden inside the wall between the rocks ("the wall was made from rocks and other things that old people use to mix to build their houses". the thing we found was something covered with a piece of rag, we opened this thing and we found 7 balls protected with cotton, we believe those balls are meteorites ,,, we were searching for the name and the meaning of these mistry balls , what we found is very shocking .. i will upload the photo of what we found and some links to give you an idea about our search results. we tested the balls with a "Diamond tester" and BINGO!!! the test was positive , it contains Diamonds inside with a big amount .. The name of the balls was "LONSDALEITE" .. yes they say its a meteorite containing lonsdaleite ,, the diamond that is harder than the regular diamond that we know.. and this worth millions of dollars .. can you believe it!! .. i can't believe this ... mean while one of the balls we found is under testing with some scientists in the lab ,, till now they told us that 95% tests are positive and it could be true , a true lonsdaleite .. we're still waiting for the final results .. other people found the same balls with the very same characteristics in french .. here's the link : http://www.geoforum.fr/topic/35910-est-ce-un-diamant-lonsdaléite/ you will find some videos with diamond tester .. if you have any more informations about this to confirm what we found , tell us
