    Ok to search ?

Hey all, I'm making a trip to Rocky Mount NC to visit some family and like going to Battle Falls, I have seen some shells along the bank of the river but wanted to ask if anyone knows if it's OK to collect teeth along the river. I know that they are there just not sure if it's ok to collect them.

    Fossil tusk???

Can anyone tell me what this is? I was hunting for shark teeth and found this fossil among broken shells about half way between low tide and high tide line.

    What we have so far

This is our collection so far of our favorite finds. All found at Holden beach. Pics consist of shark teeth, mosasaur teeth, horse teeth, sloth tooth, barracuda teeth, stingray teeth, sawfish teeth, enchodus teeth, enchodus jaw fragments, scute, ivory, mouth plate for puffer fish, shark vertebrae, mosasaur vertebrae. We accumulated this in 10 months and they were the best 10 months. My next goal is to start searching creeks. I'd love to dive too. Lots of different adventures to look forward to.
