Hi Guys ! I have this Titanosaur indet. tooth (Sauropod tooth) from Kem Kem basin for quite sometime now. As you can clearly see this tooth is composited with glue and sand in the lower part but have a nice tooth crown with feeding wear at the tip. I want to try to remove the composited part because that irritate me every time i look at it ! So i need some advice on prepping this tooth... what is the step i should do or the best way to prep this tooth. I only have a simple tools like surgical blade and dental pick . tbh with Y'all i am completely new to prep work ! ... arr...Newbie question : Should I put the composited part in water to make it soft ? This is a “pterosaurs” jaw I got as a gift a little bit ago. It was sold as a pterosaurs jaw with composite teeth the species is Siroccopteryx But Am almost 100% sure that it is wrongly identified it looks like a crocodile jaw maybe. So if someone can help me identify the jaw that would be amazing.

I have a fossil found in the Hell Creek Formation in South Dakota. Through studying I have not found a bone that matches mine in any known Hell Creek dinosaur. The bone is 8 1/4 inches tall, 5 inches long, and a width of 1 3/4 inches. The fossil weighs 2 lbs and 14.2 ounces. My belief is that it is from an ornithischian, possibly a ceratopsian or an ornithopod. It has a large hole in it for bone marrow, and at first glance looks like a human hip bone. Please help ID my fossil! Thanks!!!! -Carnoraptor

Hello! I've been looking for shark teeth and fossils for a couple months now with a couple of friends and we've been to Caspersen Beach, Manasota beach, and Peace River. My boyfriend and I were thinking about going somewhere new for a weekend but we don't know where to go. We live in Bradenton, Florida so we would like to go somewhere close by. We don't mind driving a couple hours though. Thanks! -
I was hunting the peace river a few days ago and found an osteoderm. I was overjoyed to be able to add it to my collection. I have wanted one since I started collecting! When I pulled it it was in great condition. I left it in a zip lock baggie so it had some moisture on the way home. I took it out and let it dry on my desk away from direct sunlight. i was picking some debris from the holes and noticed a very tiny hairline crack. Today it has grown much larger and seems to continue to widen. I don't know what to do as I am a nube. What can I do to save my osteoderm? What did I do wrong? What should I have done? What should I do in the future with specimens like this? (Sub dermal wet bone) Please help.

I found this fossil in NYS near a creek in Hillsdale. Any ideas on what it is?, It has defined grooves, curved shape like it's half of the bottom of a mushroom. Searched the web but saw nothing like it. Please let me know if you have any tips for me. Thanks. -mike
