I found this during a low tide walk earlier this week on the bay. I usually find lots of fossil fragments, and sometimes if the sea chooses to be kind to me, I get to take home a top pocket find fossil. On this particular day I did find a complete gastropod mold in addition to this mystery. I’d be interested to hear thoughts on this. In I can’t find anything like it online or in any of my books.

Dear Forum Members, I am interested in hearing whether or not anyone here has played around with interesting or exotic displays for their fossils, or in hearing if anyone has created fossil art from the usual materials (e.g. paints, pencils, etc...) or from digital tools (e.g. neural style transfer, digital drawing platforms, etc...). Hello everyone! Bergenhoek here! I'm new to the forum, and also to fossil hunting in general. I'm mostly interested in archaeology, but my friends, @Trevor and @The Jersey Devil have a lot more experience than me and they took me along on a trip with them. It was perfect weather too. Although it was in the low 70's, the shade and cool water made for excellent conditions for a casual day of hunting. It was the day after I graduated college, so it was nice to spend my first day as a free man searching the riverbeds for fossils. The goal of the trip for me was to escape my dorm room

Out of the countless New Jersey cretaceous crab claws I've seen and found this has to be one of the strangest claw partials yet. Seems to be an ornamented shell as apposed to the smooth claw textures that are typically found. Definitely a very interesting piece, anyone have any ideas on a possible species or if any ornamental crabs have found in nj cretaceous, or any other new jersey cretaceous hunters ever come across one similar? Definitely a head scratcher

Found this thick bone piece in a new jersey cretaceous creek and wonder if its possible to maybe id since one side has a distinct rough texture while the other is flatter and striated, I would guess either large turtle, mosasaur, or dinosaur. My friend joked its a theropod maxilary skull fragment, but we all know around here that material seems close to impossible to come across haha. Interested to hear any other thoughts.

Hello everyone, found this mysterious tooth in a cretaceous stream in New Jersey. Haven't come across any similar or anything I can really compare it to, plus its kinda worn. Which doesn't help but the leaf-like shape alone is very interesting, hopefully this one can be figured out.

These are some things that look like an insense. On every one, there is a sharp rib as a tooth would have. Any ideas?

Found in NJ Cretaceous stream. Not sure if its sawfish, croc or possible mosasaur. Thoughts?

not sure what this is a imprint of.not positive if anything and or if glaciers could of deposited it or if its cretaceous period....any help please.......thanks

Dear fellow fossil hunters, Joseph @The Jersey Devil and I went fossil hunting at an NJ Cretaceous stream on December 22nd and 23rd. On the 22nd I surface hunted, expecting a good wash out due to the previous night's rain. I had secured a section of the stream before realizing that someone had gotten to most of the stream before I had. Instead of continuing forward, I went back and explored some of the sections downstream that I had skipped. These too had been scanned so I ran back to my sifter that I had left upstream and then began sifting. Some hours later I was sifting and saw

Large Interesting Bone New Jersey Cretaceous? Scute? Dinosaur? Turtle?

Hello everyone, had a super quick trip to the cretaceous creeks of new jersey and found this particularly interesting large bone fragment, likely it is a chunk of miscellaneous bone material but it reminds me alot of a scute like ankylosaurus or some sort of other bone scute especially the edge, or from maybe something like a large turtle but I am entirely not sure if it's dinosaur, marine reptile, etc or if there is anyway to tell, looks super suspicious to me anyways so if anyone has any ideas I'd definitely love to hear them. (If more pictures are needed I will definitely be able to get som -

Found as lag in Ramanessin Brook. The color is similar to Cretaceous fossils from this locale but there are also modern and ice age finds here. Widest dimensions are 3.5 cm x 3 cm x 1 cm. Looks like bone to me due to the spongy nature of portions of it. If you think it's bone, any ideas on what part of the animal.
