Hello, everyone! I went hunting along the North Sulphur River yesterday (before today’s nasty weather), and I found some fossils and what I am almost positive is an artifact. Could someone please help with IDs, if possible? Pictures #1 and #2 are of the same bone; I found the circular striations in the 2nd picture particularly intriguing. #7 (the artifact) is broken at the base and is fairly thick at the point where it is broken.

Found this vert on the North Sulphur River a week back. Initially I thought it was a a large beat up Mosasaur vert then after looking at it again and some thoughts from another group I thought it was 2 plesiosaur verts fused. But there is still some debate on this odd vert including it being suggested that it might be a turtle vert. Thoughts? thanks!

I found this at the North Sulphur River today, Ladonia, Texas. I was sifting through the gravel, and this beautiful mosaic appeared in the water. It’s a mosaic of tiny squares and when it is wet the colors are brilliant! Any ideas of what exactly this might be?

Hi all! I was down in the North Sulphur River bottom (Ladonia, Texas) this evening and found this small, but nice tooth. Any ideas what this tooth may have belonged to? I found a few other nice picks that I’ll post later, but I was eager to learn about this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Is this Coprolite, Botryoidal or something else? My first initial guess was Coprolite but endless google searches have me second guessing. Found all three in the river bed on North Sulphur River.

Hello all! Sunday on the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas was hot and dry, but still a great day!!! Friends found some beautiful arrowheads and shark teeth! Here are a few things from my trip! I believe I have here a piece of mastodon/mammoth tooth enamel, shark tooth?, bone chunks (not sure from what), a piece of flint??? Any ideas of the specifics? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Assuming this is a mosasaur tooth. I found it on the North Sulphur River. I haven’t seen a mos tooth with such a wicked curve so it had me wondering if it might belong to something else. Thanks!

I found this in a dry rocky area of the North Sulphur River of Ladonia, Texas. Appears to be a half section of a layered cylinder of some sort compressed together. Any ideas?

I found this nice chunk of mosasaur (?) bone over the weekend at the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. It has beautiful black enamel on each side that is very smooth and shiny. It has a bowl shaped curve to it on one side. I was thinking it was a rib chunk, but I wasn’t sure with it having the curve. What do you all think? Thank you in advance!

It was a beautiful day at the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. The river is nearly dry, so visibility was really good for searching. I sifted around the puddles and gravel bars and I found several pieces of baculite, a small gastropod (I love those), and a small piece of tooth enamel (mastodon I believe?) I always love finding that... even if it’s a small piece!

I found these bone pieces, at least I think they’re bone, in the shallow water of the North Sulphur River of Ladonia, Texas. Any ideas of what type of mammal they belonged to? Thanks in advance!!!

Moon snail, fish vertebrae, and some sort of tooth (shark????) that I found in the North Sulphur River in Ladonia Texas. These were found around the gravel bars. Any ideas of what the tooth is? Thank you in advance!

I found a nice little assortment of micro shark teeth today in the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. These were found about 3 feet up in the wall of the bank. Anyone know what type of sharks these are? There’s also a little round black unidentified object. I thought it might be a tiny fish very, but unsure about that.

Hello everyone! It was a beautiful, but hot day today on the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. I found a few nice specimens, but I need some help identifying them. This one was found on the top of the surface near the bank. It is not as heavy as a piece of rock, but it reminds me of the piece of mammoth tooth enamel that I found there a while back. It has a few shiny, smooth areas and has a slight curve to it. Definitely a broken piece of something. Thank you in advance!

I took a morning trip to the North Sulphur River this morning in Ladonia, Texas. I found a beautiful piece of baculite, a few fossilized snail shells, a fish vertebrae, fossil shell cluster, and a nice, detailed piece of petrified wood or maybe coral?

I found this strange little piece over the weekend on the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. It feels like stone and is fairly lightweight. It is 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide at its widest point. It has a slight curve to its shape and has "C" shaped grooves on each side. Any ideas??

I found this over the weekend on the North Sulphur River in Ladonia, Texas. It's approximately 2 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. It has several layers of different colors and is smooth to the touch on both sides. It reminds me of a turtle shell which I am assuming it might possibly be, but feels like stone. It is also fairly lightweight. Any ideas?

Group of this and that from the North Sulphur River! There's was an abundance of oysters yesterday after the big rain the day before. Please let me know if you can ID some of the others.
