  1. Since my first time finding one I have been obsessed with cowshark teeth. I’ll share some of my collection and please share me what you have. Thanks! Notorynchus Cepedianus, Calvert fm Hexanchus sp, from Chile Notorynchus Kempi, Kazakhstan Notorynchus Colonsii, Muddy Creek, VA
  2. Hi all, For whatever reason, I never got around to posting this. After a relatively unsuccessful day at Bayfront Park back in 2018, my dad showed me this tooth, unsure of what it was. He said he had found it while sifting in the creek that runs under the bridge near the entrance of the park. I had never really bothered trying around that area because it was so far from any cliff exposures, but I suppose he proved that some of the best finds may be where you least expect them. The second he pulled out this tooth, my jaw dropped. It is a FLAWLESS cow shark symphyseal. I hadn't had a

  4. Ludwigia

    Notorynchus ?

Took another trip to one of my Miocene Burdigalian sites on my bike again today and I was just wondering if this set of teeth might come from a Notorynchus cepedianus shark.
  5. belemniten

    Notorynchus primigenius

From the album: Pleistocene and Miocene fossils

A 2.5 cm long Notorynchus primigenius, which I found at the beach "Zwarte Polder" (near Cadzand). This is a quite rare find for a beach find!!
  6. I alreay posted my little hunt in Antwerp here. Beside that I also hunted on a few beaches near Cadzand. Its quite a popular location and there are many people, who are looking for shark teeth. But the quality of the shark teeth isnt that good compared to land sites. Here are some pictures of the beaches: I was mainly in Cadzand directly, in the area of Nieuwvliet but also on a beach near Vlissingen. Here is a picture of the beach near Vlissingen (De Kaloot): Some "in situ" pictures: + Doesnt look too b
  7. From the album: Pisces

12x13mm. Upper frontal lateral. From the Miocene Burdigalian at Billafingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg.
  8. Found both these symphyseal notorynchus this year, they are quite certainly among my best finds from 2017. They’re from two different locations in the Antwerp area.

  13. Hello all! I am currently looking for a nice Notorynchus tooth. The location doesn't matter much, but I would like to know though what it is. I would like it to be complete! Also, I am looking for a lower tooth, because I really like the numerous cusps. Send me a PM if you have one for trade, with pictures of both sides; and tell me what you are looking for yourself. A few of the things I have for trade are: sharkteeth, ray teeth, seashells, coral, and more; some from now closed locations. Best regards and have a nice weekend, Max
