Hello! So I found this back in 2006 while swimming in my local park in Alabama. I felt it under my feet in the mud and could tell it didn’t feel normal, I reached down and pulled this crazy looking thing out, i don’t know if it is wood or bone, the shape on the tip is what sparks my curiosity!!! Thanks in advance!

Hi, Everyone! A belated Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. It’s warm and intermittently sunny in Venice, Florida so it’s beach time. Here are some new finds and better pictures of some old finds. I still have no idea what these things are.

Hi Folks! Been meaning to post some new finds and questions and finally settled down enough to start. Item #1: top side is boring and round and appears to be a rock. But then you flip it over and go Hmmmmm!

Found this in the river bed of the Sweetwater in Wyoming. Wierd thing about this is that I've seen the same pattern in other rock formations up higher in elevation but in the same area. Those others I speak of don't have the upward "waffle iron" raised texture like this one does. The others are only the pattern, entirely flat with the stone like a drawing would look. I'm stumped ...

Hi everyone. Interesting shapes on rock. Circular shapes both indented and extruding from rock. Found in Fairfield County CT. I'm pretty new to this and have no idea what this stuff is but interested to learn whether geologic or otherwise. Thank you.

Found in N central Ohio- it’s so oddly shaped and full of weird pieces. Maybe a conglomerate?? The bottom right area has a different, small dotted look. Could it consist of a fossil? Thanks for your help!

I went camping today. ok, not really camping. just picnicking at a campsite in the woods. we didn't stay over night because it is far too cold. so I found this rock with these cool indentions and want to know what it is. at first I thought it was by a tool but it's not. thanks, dorky

This is a brown stone and about the size of a dime. When the dark brown is scratched it leaves a copper red under it. When the “Rice Krispie” dots pop out it leaves a smooth void and there are smaller crystalline pieces embedded in it. It has been soaked in water and maintains shape so I don’t think it’s mud. The Krispie ranged in color like well, teeth? Any help would be appreciated.

So I found this one near Tukwila Washington. I think the first one is just a clam of some kind and the second one I have NO IDEA. If anyone has a clue please let me know. I can take new pictures if needed. (Area I collected it from was in a mountain in Tukwila (more like a huge hill) and it used to be a shallow ocean back millions of years ago)

Are they dinosaur eggs?
fossil_sea_urchin posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I was looking through some fossils on an auction house website, when I saw some dinosaur eggs labelled as saltasaurus or argentinosaurus. Does anyone have any views on it?- 9 replies

Found this on the Frio River near Uvalde, Tx. It has a strange shape with a lip around one side of it and it appears to have some kind of a core. Here are some pictures.

I have here a strange little tooth. It's a little under 1/2 inch. It is from the Lance Creek formation of Wyoming. I think it could be Thescolosaurus or Parksosaurus. However I can't quite rule out a type of croc. I've never seen a tooth like this so sharp. The root is also compressed.

Another random find on a beach. I'm pretty sure it's just minerals/whatever, but I'm curious what you guys think. I have a strong feeling this one won't be able to be identified, but my hopes are high it can be id'd. Rock is app 2" long, 1.25" wide, and .5-.7" tall. The amber-colored smooth stone looking spots will not let light pass thru. There are some bubble-like holes, maybe had gas trapped inside, or maybe eroded by water running thru it. Here's the pics: pic one pic two pic three pic four **NOTE** - ON pic four there is a light blue color, that is a reflection as none of the colors on the stone are blue. Once again, thanks for any help, and it's also greatly appreciated!!!
