Hello all, Here are some finds from this spring near Thurso, Scotland. Fish from the Devonian (Old Red Sandstone). None of them is perfect, but these are the more complete ones, but I find it difficult to identify them. The fish are compressed a bit disintegrated or decomposed and the details, especially near the head, are hard to distinguish. I suspect Osteolepis panderi ? I have another box full to prep so who knows what will pop up. Regards, Niels

Found this literally right on the summit of Pen y fan in south wales in a scree pile. Have had a bit of a research and everywhere says fossils are very rare in this type of old red sandstone... does anybody have any ideas? Its about 3cmx3cm. Well aware it could just be a rock... Cheers!

Hello everyone! I have recently purchased this skull roof from an actinolepid placoderm from the lower Devonian of Ukraine, The fossil was labelled as Kujdanowiaspis, but there is also a closely related genus found there called Erikaspis. I have been looking at several papers to try and see what distinguishes the two and if it is possible to tell what mine is but right now I am not sure. Any help identifying the genus and even species if possible would be great, Thank you

Found this summer, and recently returned from small amount of prep'. Sadly the Pterichthyodes is incomplete despite going back to the quarry and finding the relevant piece; it didn't contain all of the fossil, but I'll live with it!! Hope you like..
