My youngest son has been doing some research and has found a trilobite site out in the middle of what I name as 'No where's ville'. Hes going to drag me out there next week. 7 hours of driving, 3 or 4 hours of splittin shale and back home for dinner and bed. Not looking forward to all that driving, but excited to get out and about digging for old bugs. Will update this once we get back. Wish us luck. RB

This was my first ever fossil. It was gifted to me about 10-15 years ago, but i've noticed it now has crusty stuff around it. I don't think it was there before. Is this normal, will it get worse and should i be worried?

Hello fossil wizards, please help. I found this washed up on Myrtle Beach when I was a kid. I think it looks like a tooth? I've always wondered what it is or what it belonged to. It keeps me up at night, haunting me, floating in my mind's eye mouth, 20 years of unidentified oversized toothy torture. Anyway, I would love to finally find out the tooth to this mysterious mystery of the perhaps dental variety & put this & myself to bed.

Just a question here. For anyone who knows me, I one picky son of a gun. I ran into this the other day whilst going through some boxes of stuff. I found this many years ago while hunting in the White River formation in Wyoming with Kent Sundell. I dont want it, but my question is, is this sellable? Im not asking for a price of what it may be worth, but does anyone think that anyone may want a partial skull thats in bad condition? No lower jaws whatsoever! Just wondering? RB

When I moved from Northern California to Montana I got rid of literally tons of fossils. Then about 3 years ago I got rid of about 3 more truckloads to a freind of mine who was starting a rockshop. Still,,,,,, got too much stuff and keep running into stuff Ive forgotten about. I ran into all these today. Not sure if im gunna keep any of these, but sometime this summer im just gunna start selling stuff off and keep doing so till the holidays and then take some time off for selliing. I really do tire of it, but gots to do it. My kids will get a lot of the really good stuff though. Makes for some good christmas presents. RB

I brought home some of my Eurypterids a couple of months ago and came across this specimen while going through them today. Im looking for opinions on whether or not I should go on the 'repair' attack? This one has no paddles/arms. I think I could do a fairly good job, but would this ruin the fossil? Would it increase the value, lessen the value? I really have no idea. I mean, really, what does one do with only a partial Eurypterid? In this case, two of them. Same specimen, but spit in two. RB

Hello all, I was out causing some trouble in my backyard a couple of days ago when I stumbled onto this little guy. I don't really have an idea of how old this find is or what I to do with it for more info since it's only a partial sample, but I would love to hear any details y'all might have to share about this! If you need more pictures please feel free to ask--I will be glad to provide any other info on the find. Happy hunting and have a great weekend!

I found this in Northwest Georgia on a farm. It appears to be a large smooth snail shell with the snail protruding out, Its very cool I just dont know that much about it. The rock itself appears to be made up of layers and is very heavy, maybe from the cretaceous period which would make it 100 million years old at least, It was under the ground maybe two feet. Id say it ways about 12 pounds, If yall could tell me more about it I would appreciate it. PM me or email me at leviself <AT> att.net

Hi, I'm new to this site, and I would like to say hello to everyone, and start off by showing a tooth found in Northern Arkansas near a cave! We have no idea what animal this could be from, or if it is even a fossil. We thought it was.
