Location: Found along the Moyie river in northern Idaho. This specimen seems to have some characteristics of petrified wood but is difficult to confirm just by looking at it. It is smooth on one end but rough raised layers along the rest. The colors are teal and brown. I want to check with the community to get another opinion before continuing to attempt identifying the specimen. Thank you.

I've searched the web and these forums before joining so I could post. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Appears as though it was once firewood. Shiny spot on "top" of specimen is water.

I found this five foot under water in Mt Fork River in Oklahoma... approx mile from where the dinosaur skeleton on display in red river museum was found. It's extremely heavy much heavier than petrified wood and when I carried it to museum she said it glowed pink, blue, and green florescence and that it needed to be checked out. She also said it has silver pyrite bursts in some of the round indentations and she hadn't seen anything like it. It's not magnetic at all and has some type of vein thru the center of it's entire length. It has a very unique pattern and I can't find anything exactly like it online. When I first saw it under water it looked almost like a gemstone, dark green in color. And yes it came out of the water shiny like this. It's 7" long and 2 1/2" wide.
