According to the seller this is a parietal skull bone from a Kem Kem theropod, likely abelisaurus or carchadorontosaurus. Opinions? Kem Kem basin, Tegana fm, Red Sandstone Beds. Taouz, South Marocco. Size: 19 cm (7.48 inch)

Hello, I came across this listed as a piece of Cro-Magnon skull, specifically the right parietal bone. Age seems to be Pleistocene, and it's said to be from a gravel pit in Poland. I was wondering if it looks correct and legitimate? It certainly looks like a skull bone of some sort. I did find this post that discussed another supposed Cro-Magnon bone (seems like it turned out not to be one), and there may be some legal/ethical concerns here as well. Perhaps I need to consult an anthropologist? Thanks.

Unlikely fossil, but interesting I thought. Retrieved from Galveston Bay dredge spoils exposed during an unusually low tide a few nights ago. The furrows (the meningeal artery?) became evident only after cleaning. Its incomplete but I'm fairly confident its a left parietal bone. I should have a copy of Medical Examiner's report in a few weeks. Darrow
