    Three mammal teeth

A friend, Megan, found this bit of jaw bone with three teeth on the beach in northern Florida (Nassau County). I suspect it is peccary, with three roots on at least two of the teeth, but I wanted to get a more informed opinion. Thanks in advance for the help.
  2. Hi everyone, I recently acquired this piece which I'm fairly certain is a piece of the brain case. The issue is I don't know what animal it's from. I've looked at pictures of skulls of cetaceans, deer, bear, camel, everything I could think of. The closest I saw is a fossil peccary skull that was for sale on etsy but I couldn't find any other examples to compare it to. What do you all think? measurements are 2.25 inches wide 2 inches tall, 2.5 inches long.

    Tooth, tusk, or bust?

My best guess is a peccary tusk for this fossil found in the middle peace river. I would love member feedback, thanks. Jim

    ID Help

Doing some more research on a find from this past May in the Peace River, FL. I have been trying to narrow this one down as it is a partial piece and I am not sure it can be identified with certainty. Going through some old posts on the Forum I came across a few possibles with the one I thought closest being a Peccary distal metacarpal (posted by @Harry Pristis a few years ago). If anyone can confirm or point me in another direction it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help ID 2 Peace River Finds

Visited the Peace River Wednesday and found the water depth and flow down enough to allow for an easy upriver paddle and good digging. If it wasn't for my new wetsuit I wouldn't have lasted long with the air temps in the upper 50's to low 60's! Found a nice 1.25" Meg and same size Hemi, several Mammoth teeth frags, couple of horse teeth and misc shark. The two specimens pictured here are ones I need help with on an ID. The first is what I think is a partial Peccary canine from several pictures observed on this site and others. The second appears to me to be a claw or claw core. I wasn't able to find a good comparison photo for that one. Any help with an ID is appreciated.
