Found this piece in East Feliciana, Louisiana… Not sure if it “may be” a scull, possibly in the avian family or a bone from something else. Will try to get some good pics to post.

Need help identifying this. Some say it's a regular rock formation. Others insist that it's a petrified bone. "Distal phalange" from a large animal was one person's guess. It's about 3 inches long. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any help on identifying what these might be would be great. Found near Reno, Nevada in an area stated as being from the Cenozoic period. They appear to be bone to me and I did use the "stick to tongue" test and they do stick to my tongue for a second. Thank you for any help or a push in the right direction for me to find out more specifically what they are. I will add more pics in comment section.

I am new to TFF and I'm jumping in with a big HELLO and a request for any knowledge or information on an interesting rock I found on the banks of the Columbia River near Portland Oregon. On a recent rock hunt I found what appeared to be a human size skull down between two very large boulders. I was careful in adjusting the big rocks enough so I could reach down and pull up to inspect my find. It weighed about 5 lbs and like I said, about the size of a human skull. Upon further inspection I determined this was a rare form of fossilized or perhaps petrified bone. Climbing the large boulders on the banks of the Columbia River, I fumbled the 5 pound rock and dropped it on the big boulders. It broke into two pieces and to my surprise the fossil center was an bright lime green color and kind of looked like a milky glass type rock or mineral. Like quartz . then there was a definite divide in the color and texture. Bone like material attached to dark brown and bright green mineral of the inside. I've asked other rock hounds in my community and I got, Jasper, Oregon jade perhaps even a fossil bone. Im still clueless as to what exactly the multi dimentional rock is. Can anybody identify what this rock is?

HI: i was given this odd (and what I thought was just a wierd rock) about 30 years ago. I used to own a small thrift shop and I traded this rock for a coat with someone who said that he was from North Dakota and that his family owned alot of land and as a kid he and his brother would go out and just dig. One day, he said that they started digging and found this massive skelton of something. While both were digging, he was only able to get loose this piece of what I have pictured. So, I still have no other knowledge of what I have told you. As you can see from the pics, it looks to be a part of vertebrae or, as my best friend, she thinks it looks like a very large piece of a foot. She said that you can clearly see the toes and I was wondering if anyone could please identify this mystery stone/bone that I have.
